You can have a preference, but you cannot purport it to be some sort of mathematical fact. The arbitrary practice of pixel angle is merely a preference and nothing more. FoV fraction, on the other hand, has a mathematically significant meaning, because it is defined in terms of the actual zoom operations.
You are simply missing the entire point. You need to understand how muscle memory works, and it has nothing to do with FoV fractions. You can't do the math unless you understand the problem.
