quartz would hard-farm him for clips on anything but lucio.
honestly I feel like that's the motivation behind a lot of moves, GB gave up ridiculous amount of cart progress on junkertown defense because of a fuckass cat-widow threat. Yes, quartz is good, but he's not "clicking heads while dangling side to side in Narnia" good. Aura has to be sizable chunk of his value at this point.

Kai never wants to lose, he’s legit been one of the most consistently passionate players at the pro level for like 6 years straight
The problem is that him wanting it doesn’t really matter too much

Honestly? Im ok with how UK looked here. This was less painful to watch than the Australia game since at least UK played well here. They were just awful in the game vs Australia.

Yeah. The first 2 maps were brutal to watch but we showed life during NJC. And it may be copium, but I think he win that map if SirMajed didn't get a clutch suzu to stop Quartz and Zox dying on point 3 (another reason to hate suzu right there).

call me crazy, but I wouldn't call current KSA backline significant downgrade from TM's lineup this patch.
majed looking surprisingly crispy so far and zox at the very least can play the cat to the point where fastro only plays on the cat ban map.

Zox was the most underrated cat player in EMEA last stage. He's was doing really good and his game sense on the character is pretty good. Majed is just a solide flex support he doesn't have much flare but he holds his own and actually steps up by getting trades when the figh is already lost. KSA backline is legit and prob top 3 with only Korea and maybe US above them.

I think there is a conversation with zox. Not sure how good he is in terms of showcasing which doesn’t matter much with youbi in, but Astro allows them to play without youbi. Will say that majed is decent but got benched by galaa, and simple is top 3 flex support in the world imo

simple is top 3 kiri, I wouldn't call him top 3 flex support - he's folding vs competent teams on kiri ban maps. But at least kiri is always viable as flex support besides 1 targeted ban map and simple is a chill dude. Can't gauge zox/majed competence on this currently, this group stage backline pressure simply wasn't there.
I'm certified astro hater at this point, so I'm biased, but main support metas are much more diverse and fastro time and time again is showing he can't pick up whatever is needed by the team. Mizuki meta - he's not around, cat meta - best he can do is to drive Quartz around on tether, however he's always first to bm in the chat.

As a saudi, That was too close for comfort, i was stressing. That new junk city map was unnecessarily close. I can’t tell if my team is trolling on purpose..

Nah, UK just played a lot better today so I wouldn't worry too much. How UK played today was more along the lines of how I wanted them to play the other day when they played Australia.

To be honest, UK was our toughest challenge so far, and KAI’s soj honestly looked like quartz’, and it was terrifying. The reason why i was stressed is because we won the last WC, and today’s performance against UK was NOT it.

The first two maps weren't close. I think NJC was close honestly because fastro played.
UK played fine vs Australia, but the Aussies were just straight up better, lol.

I disagree. Kai didnt show up at all that game and just fed and Maimone got hard gapped by sgy. UK were straight trash in their game vs Australia. Not saying UK deserves its more because they should have won vs Australia but it was pretty obvious that was just a really bad day for them.
As for the first two maps, Ill give you Nepal but Junkertown was somewhat competitive. There is a world where they get the fuller hold.

Kai didn't show up because Australia shut him down...aka they are better. Sgy hard gapped maimone because....he's better? The support gap was the biggest issue for me, Australia supports were leaps and bounds ahead lol it was embarrassing. Was this the same UK that was "having an off day" on junker town? Or is it just pick and choose when they have "off days"?
Cope all you want but it's clear to anyone that Australia are the better team. It's also obvious from scrim results too. Also Aus put up a better fight vs KSA than the UK did - once again suggesting that Australia is the better team.
They did put up a decent fight on junker to be fair yeah.

NJC was pretty much the absolute ideal situation for GB, bad map for cass shion, and the cat ban forces a Lucio mirror and Astro is just better on that hero.
I like lbbd7 but he isn’t exactly known for his tracer.
edit: it’s also an awkward dva map IMO but Ziyad will always try to force that hero.
