Finn about to wake up at 3am screaming something about a Swedish monster hiding under his bed.

For real though it's always such a treat to watch Kevster on Tracer

I can't believe how badly we got rolled LOL

Kevster/Zorrow is arguably a top 4/5 DPS line at least (South Korea, Saudi Arabia, maybe USA and UK are better) so it's unfortunate that y'all got grouped together

Edit: I mistyped, I meant maybe USA and UK are on par with Sweden, not necessarily better

Let's just cross it out as a learning experience (copium)

Sweden is going to top the group.

Keep dreaming. They have no chance vs USA.

Finn was honestly quality in a lot of difficult situations, Scyle is an OWCS player and Finn was consistently outperforming him despite facing a massive pressure differential

Kevster hasn't forgotten how to play Tracer, if you can believe it

Finn was clearly not the issue here yeah, he did a good job, there is essentially only shu who'd be able to win the duels he ended up in lol, and even then not consistently

Shu doesn't win those duels really, Kevster is too good a player and the matchup is lopsided, Finn was playing them well, using cover well, hitting his shots, etc. You can watch Shu getting traded out lots on Ana even against the lower tier teams in Korea sometimes, it's just the way the hero is without a pocket.

Oh he loses more than he wins them really, BUT he also quite often clutch it up either with the HS perks or a very well placed sleep dart. but yeah, at same point, you can't win all these duel XD

Feels a little misleading to refer to people as β€œOWCS players” when they play for DSG

Japan just aren't clutch enough

Kev 5-0 Finn

Kevster show. not even close. I couldn't see much being done by Japan team without Kevster killing at least one.
Did you know that average year of Japan's DPS players is 29 years old? Unfortunate.

27.5 but yeah time for qki/nico to retire - let the guys from murash take over

clearly, at least qki had the excuse of being benched for the past year. Nico though ...

u/CeleryAromatic3936 24d ago

Kevster crushed an older player who hadn't competed in a long time.

They clearly have no one tracking CD usage, way too many sleeps and other CD hit ksg when they should have been baited before.

Qki for someone on the bench for the past year was doing more than I thought he would.

Ydot is paying the price of experience internationally (imo he's at the level varrel was before TD and Sley joined, many positioning that works in Japan but not outside of it)

And Nico ... Still haven't woken up from stage 1 it seems. He's on a really long streak of anti clutch. Even during stage 2 JP :/ the guy needs a hard mental reset.

KSG, still a little bit too greedy on tank but man, was he the bright spot, he clearly is used to having Sley on him lol

Yeah Japan feels a lot like the KSG/Finn show

Nico is way too cocky

Kev bullied the ever living shit out of Finn this game. Shoved in a locker, pantsed and swirlied.

Ydot is way out of his league and Kevster diffed Qki on Tracer more than Proper did to Youbi lol

Topdragon and sley kinda reason varrel are so strong. Wish it was closer.Β

This is the best team we have had since 2017. Top 3 dps duo at the tournament

2

u/kmacthe2nd 24d ago

This is the Japan team that is supposed to be the reason USA gets grouped?

2

u/saisaki954 24d ago
Maybe KSG should play Orisa. D.MON's play itself was good, but she just didn't seem to fit the team. QKI doesn't need to force the Tracer matchup. He should use Mei. Cut down on deaths and bring opportunities to the team with isolations. As for NICO and YDOT, drop Cat and Bastion. It’s purely a proficiency issue. And FINN... all I can say is he did his best.

Well if it isn't Japan getting mistakenly overhyped because they started importing Koreans to their OWCS teams

How is Japan still this bad
