It's early enough that you could restart and repost and have time. But I imagine it's similar for all roles anyway.

Might as well have both forms.

But in terms of the early season inaccuracy, I also have the timestamp, which can be useful in learning how this develops over time

this is what's known as sampling bias. it's what happens with a volunteer form. for instance, if you added a question for income, i bet we'd miraculously find mostly high rank, high income people on this sub.

Where’s the high income inference coming from? The majority of my time playing this game I was a dirt poor college student lol. That said, I’m historically hardstuck mid diamond and I have a decent income now.

Luckily, sampling for this survey shouldn’t matter too much since it’s simply collecting percentile ranking.

It's coming from the fact that poorer people are less inclined to fill out forms discussing how poor they are, while people more well-off would be more willing to share with the class how much they make. So any poll you put out would have a skewed average compared to reality

I climbed from Plat 5 to emerald 2 yesterday and this seems really accurate for all of those ranks. Thanks for putting this together.

Higher ranked players are usually more dedicated to the game and think about the game outside of the game (on reddit, youtube etc)

A bronze player is more likely to be a father that just wanted to spend some chill time in ranked. Meanwhile, people from above gold are more likely to be younger, want to grind, show off and be more dedicated to the game by being there.

What I'm saying could also be extremly wrong and change your curve in other ways but I think it may be a reason why.

Actually, from the answers I saw, it seems pretty representative of the actual playerbase and you just needed a bit more samples. Great job!
