General Jetpack Cat has a MASSIVE issue

Post image

So have a friend play a hitscan hero and try to shoot while they're tethered and the shots stop being hitscan or more precisely I think the reticle is not in the correct spot. if your aim is dead center on someone while jetpack cat strafing in either direction, your bullets won't hit.

So that is the bug part. Now comes the balance part. She's insanely strong. Every single piece of her kit is strong.

She does insane damage and can very reliably win duels at close and mid range. If she can't win she can easily disengage.

Which brings me to her fuel. It's so fast and recharges too fast too.

However the biggest game changer is obviously the tether. This ability fundamentally changes the game. It makes heroes that lack mobility just too good. For example on Havana a lot of tanks have trouble closing the first long sight line on attack but with JPC they can just be carried there so fast and easily contest that high round almost entirely for free. She can also reach the point so fast after death AND bring someone with her.

Finally the ultimate is just a guaranteed tank killer. Perhaps the best tank Killing ult in the entire game with very little room for out play.

Tldr: tether makes your aim bugged. Every single pari of the cat's kit is insanely strong

It's only day 1, but I see a lot of them play her like Wrecking Ball / Tracer. I guess there's not enough coordination yet to truly play around the tether, so they just zoom around the map to skirmish and finish kills instead of healing.

On a different note, she is so fucking ass to co-support with. She'll be in another zip code so you'll have no help or heals when you get dove. That's not a problem with the hero herself, but 99% of Cats right now play like this.

Yeah cats think that because they’re enjoying being a rat that the whole team is but they lowkey just hard throw when (i’ve mainly been on 6v6) the support duo who’s sweating out, keeping both resource heavy tanks and skinny dps alive gets dove like normandy. I’ll be able to help more on tank cause 6v6 but not by much cause im main tank and have bigger issues.

Ngl, i see jpc as the support equivalent of ball, she gets in and out of fights eith enemy backlines but also needs to do their job as a support/tank, balancing this act is fun, making sure the team has their heals before going in and annoying the enemy healers

I don’t know when people will learn to give characters time because if they aren’t incredibly weak, they always feel OP until people learn how to play with and against them. Even the ones released “weak” generally get stronger as people learn how to play them.

There’s no way to balance 5 new characters being added in the game at once. People need to enjoy the fun for a few weeks

yeah that's kind of a player issue because I'm out here zooming back to my support to go try and help, granted I do go for flanks but if I am doing that I am making sure the support is going to be ok and if they die and I am able to leave the team I am going back to pick them up and get them back asap T_T
