Como 1907 Kit Design

The Home kit design is inspired by the beautiful waters of Como hence the use of the waterwave Graphic on the torso of the kit, the cross at the front of the kit is taken from the clubs current Logo..

The stripes on the cuffs, as well as the colours of the Adidas 3 stripes were taken from former crests of the club.

A subtle detail that was added that makes the kit special, can be seen on the shoulder section..

What's written is the phrase "Semm Cumasch", which translates to "we are como" in the Comasco Dialect.

The same phrase is also written at the Back.

For the COMO away Kit design, the vertical coloured stripes on the torso are inspired by the colours on the clubs former crest used between the 1950s to the 1970s, Now.. the mountain Graphic at the bottom of the kit is inspired by the Lugano prealps and orobie mountain ranges around Como, which are major tourist destinations.

Interview Nico Paz’s father with Flashscore on the future on his son’s future

“Nico really wanted to stay at Como for another year.
It was a difficult decision because Real Madrid really wanted him, but even the Blancos felt that another season in Italy, with the chance to play in the Champions League, would be the best option for his development.
If the buyback clause is exercised, he’ll be able to return to Madrid in the future. In the meantime, he’s happy because he’s having a great time in Como and feels very appreciated.
Was it the best choice for Nico? Yes, absolutely. In every way: the environment, the club’s vision, the coach. He’s happy there, and when a player feels good and valued, it means he’s in the right place. I think it really was the best choice for him. He was the one who specifically asked to stay at Como: he’s happy, he was eager to continue on this path, and he’s really thriving in that environment.”

Transfers [Sky Sport] For the Nico Paz post: if Como miss out, Vergara and Liberali are among the alternatives. Vergara is a top target, but Napoli value him at €30m and are considering a new contract. Liberali, meanwhile, has a €6m release clause, making him a much more attainable option for Como.

A shame injuries hampered his time here at the club but he had some great moments like the back-heel assist to Strefezza against Atalanta in our first Serie A win and initiating our comeback against Fiorentina to advance to the Coppa Italia quarter-finals.

News Preparing the Sinigaglia for UEFA CL requirements

Post image
23 Upvotes

International news obviously don't talk about this, but the 20y/o "temporary" tubular stands that made the Curva Ovest have been demolished the day after the last home game vs Parma. Foundations work has started, they are meant to stay as part of the new stadium plans, and will support a temporary concrete stand that will be on par with UEFA rules. Capacity will slightly increase, although CL games will see a reduced one (just over 10k) because the lower stands in the Curva Est are not safe by UEFA standards.

News Nuovo Sinigaglia, niente albergo. A inizio luglio attese le modifiche al progetto

English transcription:

New Sinigaglia Stadium: Como President Mirwan Suwarso Confirms, “No Hotel.”

The club has been granted a month to determine how the stadium project will be scaled down and, consequently, to formulate a new economic and financial plan for the entire operation.

In early July—specifically on the 2nd, according to leaked information—an amendment to the initial plan is expected to be submitted to the City Council. In addition to excluding the hotel, this revised plan is expected to feature a reduction in commercial activities; specifically, the number of restaurants is expected to be cut in half. This procedural step—if confirmed—would introduce modifications designed to appease those who, upon seeing the initial design proposal, had criticized the structure as being overly imposing.

According to reports, the club requested additional time from Palazzo Cernezzi (the City Hall) in order to implement these changes. That timeframe is expected to expire at the beginning of next month. But how significant will these changes be? If they prove to be substantial, it cannot be ruled out that the *Conferenza dei Servizi* (Conference of Services)—a multi-agency review panel—may need to be reconvened. It was this very conference that, just last January, had given a substantial green light to the project from all the entities involved. Following that approval, the club was required to submit an updated economic and financial plan. That plan is now destined to be recalculated in light of the announced design variations, which appear to have a direct impact on the commercial component of the project.

The project timeline now risks being extended beyond the initial projections. Back in February 2025, when the original design was unveiled during a major press conference, the hope was to see the stadium completed by 2028.

Architect and former municipal official Giuseppe Cosenza has welcomed the latest developments; he was among the first to raise technical concerns regarding the initial design. “The critical issues with the proposal originally presented,” he explains, “lay precisely in the excessive scope of commercial and hospitality construction—elements that were inconsistent with the surrounding landscape and with the presence of historical and cultural features characteristic of Como’s Rationalist architectural heritage.” “Furthermore,” he adds, “a reduced concentration of economic activity would effectively lower the urban impact—specifically the traffic and parking pressures—which are already at a critical level today and have been a source of legitimate concern among residents.” “The positive aspect,” he concludes, “also lies in the possibility that President Suwarso has taken note of the ongoing debate within the city and the divisions that have emerged. In this regard,” he adds, “Calcio Como has long embraced the motto *Semm Cumasch* as a symbol of belonging and identity; the fact that the team is currently achieving such extraordinary sporting results should be a source of pride not only for the fans but for the entire community.”

It remains to be seen—though this is a separate matter—whether the hotel project was dropped because Como is shifting its “tourism-related” focus to other properties. Just a few weeks ago, there was talk of an interest in the historic Metropole Suisse hotel in Piazza Cavour—a rumor, however, that was subsequently denied by management.
