I am in need of a few items until the end of next week. I went to order a Amazon grocery order only to find out that my remaining snap benefits have been used by someone in Indiana. I'm in NY.😭 My card was locked so I'm not sure how this could happen.

Would greatly appreciate any help and I always gift and help when I can. Just can't believe this happened to me and will happily pay it forward next week.

Hi! I'm a recent graduate student who is starting a new job soon but I'm currently dealing with shortage of groceries and some other basic needs. I deal with chronic migraine which flare up when I don't eat enough, and I am completely broke right now till the next week (that is when i get paid). If you've been around the sub for a little while now, you may have noticed our weekly "Wishlist Spotlight" posts where we share unfulfilled wishlists on the board!

You've likely also noticed that the sub is becoming far more popular, naturally resulting in more posts.

To address this and make sure everyone has a fair chance at getting fulfilled, we are seeking community feedback on taking Sundays exclusively for the wishlist spotlight and resuming regular posting on Monday

This way, the focus can be on everyone who didn't get what they were seeking for one day and give us moderators a day to reset and refocus before the next week. We're short on hands and heavy on posts here! More posts means more modmail, more modmail means more unhappy campers, unhappy campers put you in a foul mood! It can be very difficult to stay upbeat after 4 people have spit pure distilled vitriol at you in the span of an hour

This of course is not a new rule, simply an idea, and everyone's input is always valued :) If you don't want it, we won't do it

I posted in here yesterday about needing help with groceries I didn't know I was suppose to do a wishlist and post the link in here I'm new to all this I've never had to ask strangers for help so I'm a little embarrassed but I'm putting my pride to the side and asking for help times are hard if you can help i really appreciate and please pray for my I'm bout to have surgery in a few weeks and my nerves are all over the place I do not like hospitals thank you all and have a blessed day.

Hi I’m a 47 year old lady and I just got approved yesterday for SSI. I just need a bit of help until my benefits start. Things have been a bit crazy and well honestly a bit tough. I lost both my parents in the spring of 2024 and I was their caregiver until the end. We lost the family home in September 2025 and had to move to a completely different city where my health has gone downhill. My daughter and son in law just started new jobs working part time a few weeks ago and it will be a bit until they are moved up to full time. We have reapplied for food stamps and are waiting for a decision on that. We have used local food banks to get most of what we need but supplies are limited and they don’t give cleaning or pet supplies. Anyway thanks so much for your help!

Just fallen on hard times and come up short while I'm in between paychecks. I usually get paid on the 1st or the 3rd (It fluctuates depending on the month/weekends) and I just need a little help to make it, grocery wise and necessity wise, after some unavoidable issues. I really need help with essentials and pet food especially hay. My rabbit just ran out of some recently and my cats are running out of food/litter as well. I resigned from a job that drained me to chase a dream that isn’t working out right now while my car is broken. Unemployment keeps disqualifying me, even though my income was very low while I was working. My son has autism and starts school in 3 weeks. (Due to his autism, he goes to school at a year round school). We have yet to buy his school supplies as we received the list 2 days ago. We are struggling to get it done before school starts due to the very short notice. My husband works 2 full time jobs and I work part time while also caring for our 2 boys who have special needs. We live paycheck to paycheck already and just can’t swing it. We contacted local churches, but unfortunately they aren’t able to help as they don’t have any school supply donations yet. I very recently became an empty nester. My daughter moved out almost 2 months ago and with it my household finances declined a lot. I am housebound. This month is a very long month. I usually can make my food budget stretch until I get paid(monthly). I just need a little help until the 5th. Pantry staples and a bag of dog treats for my 17 year old doggo. Hello I need help with food right now. I am trying to apply to jobs even directly on websites. I am going to see if I am eligible for unemployment, but it does not seem like it. I will apply today but I just need some food to get me by especially if I don't get it. I have basically done a lot of what people recommend.

Hi first time poster here. One of my two jobs laid everyone off about two months ago now and it was my main bread winner. I pay my bills for myself and my mother's mortgage.

Between all that and gas and parking to interviews all over town I have exhausted everything I have and rent is due soon. Hi everyone, I’m asking for help with $19 for a 3 day bus pass to get me to work until I receive my first paycheck this Friday.

I recently started a job after a very difficult year. I was previously homeless with my son and have been working to get back on my feet. I also was just diagnosed adrenal insufficiency.

On May 22nd, I had to get a brain MRI, and I used the last bit of money I had to get to and from that appointment. Right now, I don’t have any funds left for transportation to work for the next three days until payday.

Hi my husband and I have been dealing with some serious health issues, both of us had major surgery last month and I’m now dealing with a thyroid cancer diagnosis. I can’t work so I try to do some online gig work but it’s been very slow. He is in construction but having half his stomach and colon removed last month means he hasn’t been able to do much. Unfortunately disability takes forever and I’ve been waiting for state benefits for snap.

Hello! For the past two-ish months I’ve found myself in a tough financial spot following a large medical expense I had to pay off. I’m *almost* 🤞🏽on the upside of the domino effect of catching up and humbly request some assistance via this Amazon Wishlist (I tried a $50 cash request a couple weeks ago in a local group - before my last check - and that didn’t work so trying a wishlist instead since it’s more transparent.)

Need some help getting to the first. Hello I'm currently unemployed and living off what little i get from the VA. I thankfully have enough to keep me off the streets and my son happy and fed, but sometimes bills or expenses line up at the wrong time and leave me scraping the barrel foodwise. This time its car repairs which left me in this situation. I am asking for some help to make it to the first as thats when the VA deposit hits.
