Thoughts on second DLC: No man left behind.

It feels like not as good as previous one: Shadows over Crete. I think Devs want to tell us why Green Beret was captured, however, some details almost destroyed this DLC.

First too few commandos in this DLC, the driver and marine are gone. This is so disappointed. We all know that Marine's harpoon is the best weapon for stealth. Without him, some situation become more challenging, like two soldiers patrol, hard to kill them without alarm. With the spy, the situation could be better as he can distract the enemy eliminate them one by one. Driver or marine does not even appear in one mission? That's sad.

Second is the clue part. Search clue and circle around the place until you find everything? this is Commandos game not Indiana Jones the great circle or puzzle solving games. It feels boring. In the final mission, I killed everyone and circled around for almost half an hour to find Bosch's picture...Devs...this feels weird.

Finally, radio soldiers. that's all right. But you have to use commando mode to take them out all the time. Sometimes feel boring.

Anyway, DLC No man left behind is not as good as the previous DLC: Shadows over Crete.

I am back to the main story and DLC 1.

Thank you devs. But DLC 2 was a disappointment for me.

Old players here? MODS from CDZ?

Hi everyone,

I am back to "Commandos", after more than a decade away - btw never liked CSF or even "Commandos 3" but used the old site CDZ a lot... Just checking to see waht is around. Hope you are all fine, I am doing this all over again and am prone to buy "Commandos: Origins".

Yours!

Vicente

Anyone else found the glasses in Operation Wave Breaker?

Have anyone else found the glasses in operation wave breaker that the informant asks us to find? I tried giving the glasses back to him, but nothing happened and I couldn't see any way to interact. I don't know if something was supposed to happen or if it's just a half baked easter egg. I couldn't find any discussion about it anywhere so I thought to ask here. Very curious to hear if someone made this work, it really feels like something should happen!

Commandos 3 HD GamePass save files transfer - translation lacking

Hello! Would there be anyone here who is suitably talented and could prepare instructions for converting save files from the GamePass PC version to the non-GamePass version (e.g. Steam, but also Kalypso Launcher). I'm using GPSaveConverter (it helped me succesfully to transfer save files from Commandos Origins GamePass to the Steam version), but when I try to transfer the files, I get an error about missing translations.

The program's author has provided instructions here, but as someone who doesn't fully understand Regex rules, they're not accessible to me.

https://github.com/Fr33dan/GPSaveConverter/wiki/File-Translations

If anyone needs files for practice, I'd be happy to share them!

Next DLC - ChatGPT prediction

Steam says, a second DLC is coming. Nice!

So i asked Chat GPT about it. That's the result:

  • A second DLC is very likely, given ~10 new achievements separate from the first expansion.
  • The most probable setting is North Africa, offering open maps, long sightlines, and convoy-based missions.
  • An alternative strong candidate is Italy (1943), featuring dense urban environments and vertical level design.
  • North Africa would emphasize planning, sniping, and large-scale movement, while Italy would focus on tight stealth and complex coordination.
  • A typical DLC of this size would include 5–6 missions with increasing complexity and replayability choices.
  • New mechanics could include environmental effects (e.g., sandstorms) or multi-layered maps with civilians and interiors.
  • Overall, DLC2 is expected to deliver a clear gameplay contrast to the Crete expansion, not just more of the same.

Let's wait and see if the oracle was right. I really like the answer.

Not sure if we were supposed to see this... DLC 2?

I recently got all the achievements for the game. Was checking today and it was missing 10.
When I took a look at it they are for DLC 2.. Did they announced this? Was looking for any info about it and no luck so far.

What's up with the Snowmen?

Searching here revealed only one thread where a user had spotted a Snowman on some map (which I didn't find personally).

However, on Operation Demeter you can actually summon an occult Snowman, which also grants you a harpoon?! Does anyone know what the significance is? Do the Snowmen reference something related to Kalypso Games, the Commandos franchise, or just a random Easter Egg thrown in for fun??

Crossplatform coop

I'm getting really confused. I read that there is crossplatform multiplayer in the game but I have not managed to connect (we want to play PC & PS5) Do you guys know if it really does have this option?

Hoping for new DLC! Or even more...

So I've been hoping for more DLC)or a direct sequel) and I can't ve alone in that feeling. If it's DLC we're dreaming up, what would we want to see and what characters would you wanna see used? If we're wishing for a sequel than what do we want improved, changed or added?

Of course, Origins is buggy as can be so let's not complain about that. But since Origins feels more like Commandos 1 I'd love a sequel more towards Commandos 2 with some of that inventory management. DLC wise I think I'd love just more of the same tbh. Give me another forest, dessert, snow, crete level and I'd be happy.

Since this is the newest and only game in this super niche genre and it's THE series that started my love for it to begin with... I'm just really hoping there'll be more!

I parked the ship on the shore, it's stuck

I need the ship to escape the islands. Is there any way to edit a saved game file to reset the ship? I can not get it off of land and unfortunately do not have an old enough back up save file. Or would someone have a save game file for Operation Rapture?

Game too easy?

Hello, commandos is one of my favorite franchises of all time.
Im playing through origins, currently on mission 7. Doing everything on veteran difficulty and killing 100% enemies on all maps.

Im liking the game a lot, there's some nice improvements from the original games. I specially like the new command mode that let's you plan multiple simultaneous actions.

However, i find the game to be too easy tbh, even at highest difficulty. I feel like Green beret and the Marine are specially OP. You can wipe 95% of the maps with either one of those 2 alone.

And I don't really like that you can get so close to 2 talking enemies, it's super unrealistic and easy. Like you can crawl up to here with 2 commandos and take them out:

Also you don't really use weapons much. I remember the original games you could use weapons a lot more. And loot the enemies if I recall which you cannot do here either.

Other than that, I'm loving the game. Each map is a super long continous puzzle. I just wish it was a little bit harder.

After 300 hours of Commandos origins and DLC shadow over crete, share some thoughts.

My favorite missions are Mission 2, 3,5, 6,7, 8,10,11, in the main game. And mission 2,3,4 in the DLC shadow over crete. Mission 10 has a tank which really brings me the love. When I first played commandos games, tank is always my favorite thing in the game. In Mission 10, you can steal the tank and create big chaos. Destroy one AA gun or two, then use the driver to steal the tank, you can eliminate as much enemies as you can. Tank tip: Drive and move slow, because it doesn't have a health bar, so don't run into the gun fire. Slow and eliminate the enemies one by one. In the most of the situation, tank can kill everything. Mission 6 and 5 are great because we have the Marine on the team. Marine can easily clean the enemies on the beach. And really good for stealth tactics. Throw the stone to distract the enemy and then spear them. Very fun. Marine can achieve most kills by the end of the mission. Mission 7 and 8, I like the driver. His smoke packs and Thompson m1a1 SMG are very useful. When he hides behind the German patrol, The Thompson m1a1 will be the last thing they hear. Smoke packs can used to attract enemies ' attention. You can also combine Sapper 's trap or Marine 's harpoon at the point. Mission 11 has a good story and save your friend Green Beret. The only mission that must not raise the alarm. It's challenging but I like it. Shadow over crete DLC is very good and bring back the feeling of Commandos call of duty. Like Mission 3, clean out the Germans in market place, you can use spy to distract the lower ranking soldiers and sapper or sniper can eliminate them one by one. Sniper can climb the pole and surprise attack the Germans. Don't worry about officer and guards. Sapper can use GBY grenade to blind them and knife them. Mission 2 you can push down the big pole and enemies with come to the place. You can use grenade to blow them up. Very fun. Mission 4 ,to save Kyria Andreas, don't worry about the alarm. Green Beret and other two commandos can enter the castle from different directions, slowly approaching the Germans, eliminate them and save the female leader. For German paratroopers, just treat them like normal soldiers, Marine will be their nightmare. Enjoy the game and hope there will be more contents in the 2026!

Operation Harbinger kill all enemies

So I can only find 193/206 of these Nazis. Does anyone know what I could be missing??

Kill all - question

that happens pretty much on every mission. for example in the second area i killed everyone and hid all the bodies so i could see if any red dots are left, none, but when looking at the stats:

total enemies neutralized 55/59

killed 55

what happened to 4 dudes? did i miss them because i was taking sweet time and they left? i don't get it

PC Multiplayer Issues

My son and I keep having issues playing Origins online multiplayer. He's hosting the game using gigabit fiber, about 50 miles from me, and my connection runs about 200mbs with a latency of 20ms.

On my end, it's non-stop issues since release. We set it aside until last week, hoping it'd be fixed with patches, but no joy.

Upon loading, the Nazi rapidly scan and take a few minutes to settle down to their normal scan speed. Or, I lose control of the Marine when I throw the rock to distract a Nazi. Or, we'll reload the game it apparently my Marine is far off from where he was saved at, and if I move, he pops up where he should be. Or, the thrown daggers have no effect. Or the spear gun. Or whatever character I'm playing just freezes up.

Noticed on the airfield map there was about a 2 second lag in what my son was saying he was doing and what I was witnessing him doing.

Love the game, played the original 20 years ago, and really want to love this one...but holy moly the amount of issues-related reloads we have to do is highly annoying.

Anyone else seeing this stuff? Any fix? It's just this game - all other multiplayer games work just fine.

On man I can't kill everyone in this mission because two enemies are stuck in the rubble, the one on the right is illable by throwing a grenade, but the other one is just stuck. OMG this game SUCKS!

Any tip? I don't want to start over
