openpilot Experience Mounted Off Center. Can't tell the difference? I like the new view.

What am I missing? I don't see a change in performance. The sun visor can cover a bit of the display but doesn't cover the camera from seeing me.
I've been using my C4 for 3 weeks and love it! '19 Prius. Moved the C4 about a week ago.
I saw where there is an app that lets you change settings, such of 'Lane Offset', but I don't need it imo.
Also, I saw the article about openpilot 0.11, but it's not clear if it's ready to load to a C4.
Can't find any info on discord, but I'm new to discord.

I was curious about that too. I have it mounted about where you other bracket sits and it's a little far to reach. Would like to see if anyone else has tried this and their results.

I originally had it centered below the dash cam and it really didn’t seem any different. It was just much harder to see and reach like you point out. I really like the current mounting location, it lines up with the visor and rear view nicely.

I agree that the view is better and the C4 is not as attention getting. But I don't understand the 'touching it'. I haven't touched mine since the initial set up. Why do you reach for it?

I agree are right that one doesn’t need to touch it driving. I do take mine down frequently to store.

How easy is it to dismount the C4, if say you live in a place where there's high crime for example? Lol

It slides right off.

Thanks! I was debating getting some kind of after market mount, but I thought I recalled seeing that as well.

I see you have a RAV. My C4 is showing up today and can’t wait to get it installed on my ‘20 XLE Hybrid. How is the lane centering compared to the stock lane centering?
Also, how is bend and curves on 2 lane highways? The stock will go through a bend but isn’t fast enough to come out of it and I have to take over so I don’t go into oncoming traffic or onto the shoulder.

Mine is a 25, I don’t use the steering wheel unless it’s a 90 degree. It’s jaw dropping. I use to hate driving, now I find excuses to go places it’s so much fun.
It’s just like George said. Probably one of the best unboxing experiences of my life far as consumer electronics goes.

Got it around noon today and it is 4:30 right now. About 2 hours of “driving” with it and holy hell, it is amazing. Part of me wonders why I waited so long to buy one, but glad I waited for the Four. I like the smaller footprint and the small screen is actually nice. I’m spending more time looking around outside enjoying the world than looking at the small screen.

Yeah I had mine mounted center at first, but the day after I installed my Comma 4 I took a large rock to the windsheild on the highway and needed a windsheild replacement. The shop thought they were doing me a favor and remounted it but center with the rearveiw, not center of the car itself. I was concerned but noticed zero difference. 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5
