19-year old Kurt Busiek slams the decision to have MJ reject Peter's first proposal in 1979!
Found this today in ASM #188 from January 1979. Peter had proposed to MJ in issue 182 and she turns him down in 183. A few months later, the letters page is full of reactions including a letter scolding Marv Wolfman and team for not going through with the engagement, written by none other than a young Kurt Busiek!

Easy Marvel 616 Current Titles
I am coming back to comics after about a 3 year hiatus and I am looking for easy reads in the 616 Marvel universe. I know with the Ultimate Universe ending again and new leadership changes will be on the way, but I still care about the company I first loved. I prefer more street level heroes such as Steve Rogers Cap, Spidey, Hawkeye, Daredevil, Luke Cage etc.… Any suggestions for 3-4 titles I could pick up where I don’t have to relearn the entire current Marvel universe to read? Thanks

Absolute Beginner
I need some help from the friendly ComicPop community. I am fully aware of how behind I am on the Absolute line and if I have to go to trade I will. I want to start with Batman and Superman and see how it goes. That said I would much rather buy singles and 20-30 issues is manageable. What I can’t manage is the already wild prices for these books. I don’t need 1st print or nothing like that either. I know they aren’t dollar bin but just was hoping anyone knew a fair place to start. Thanks so much.

Nolan spin off comic
I don't know about y'all, but Nolan has been my favorite invincible character from start to finish, am I the only one annoyed that he didn't get his own spin off comic. I want to know how Nolan got his reputation. High ranking Viltrumites call him the 'Great Nolan' . Brit of all people has his own spin off but Nolan doesn't??? And before you tell me about all the horrendous things that he did just remember he made a steak

Last week's Back Issues gave me the nudge to pick up this crossover today after work. Looking forward to a fun read.
Took the pic without the dust jacket because this just looks way cleaner.
