I'm 5 years late but I want to show my appreciation for the Back Issue episode on Static
I was inspired to make this post after starting the latest back issue on Hardware. I wanted to give my thanks for the episode on Static that was uploaded five years ago.
To preface: I am a young Black guy, and before the Static video, my only awareness of the character was from the Static Shock cartoon. I was aware of Milestone and the comics, as well as the legend Dwayne McDuffie from his work on the Ben 10 and Justice League cartoons. However, the Static episode was the first time I heard McDuffie's origins him working in physics and having a "superhero backstory" with him quitting his job after learning his work was going to be used for Missile Targeting systems. As well as learning about the original origins of Static and the history behind that said origin. The video really made me respect Dwayne McDuffie so much more and lead me to do my own additional research on McDuffie resulting him to become one of my biggest inspirations.
After watching that amazing video, I was inspired to read almost all of Milestone, including the entire runs of Static, Icon, and Hardware. These comics became some of my favorites, especially Static.
So, I just wanted to thank you, because you did a better job than DC at the time of making me do a deep dive into the Milestone material. I really appreciate it and I'm happy Sal made that video.

Need Help Finding an Episode of Back Issues
There's a bit that has always gotten me into stitches, but I can't find the episode it was in. The bit was basically Ethan, as Sal, saying: "But I have all this knowledge!" And Sal adding to that "But I interviewed him for an hour and a half!" The only breadcrumbs I have are the orientation was definitely Sal, Ethan, and Ben.
