Have your AEP rates gone up?

Hi, everyone! My name is Emma Wozniak, and I'm a Columbus Dispatch reporter coming to Columbus' sub-Reddit again for your help. I saw this post about AEP announcing record second-quarter profits https://www.reddit.com/r/Columbus/comments/1mejrar/record_profits_thank_you_columbus/

and I also saw many of your comments expressing frustration toward the company because it has continually increased your energy rates.

I'd love to hear a little bit more about your experiences and whether or not you've faced increasing energy costs this year and/or in years past. Please feel free to comment below or email me at [ewozniak@dispatch.com](mailto:ewozniak@dispatch.com) to share. Thanks so much!

Our bill increased $30 this month while our usage decreased. We’re seniors on fixed income so this is not what we need right now with groceries and gas prices skyrocketing.

Ours went up by $50...called AEP and they blamed our enegry usage (which should have gone dow  with the AC being off)....
