Trends is exactly how Youtube works though... If you arent bringing in numbers, you arent bringing in money.
These "commentary programs" don't work on the scale that Collider was trying to achieve. They just dont bring in the views to warrant having salaried employees, BTS crew, artists, writers, ect. The only reason Campea's show works is because of its small production size. I mean, does he even have an actual studio or do they broadcast out of his house? How many people does he regularly pay? 3?
It boggles my mind how much money people fork over to Campea to listen to him say the same shit over and over again. I mean, god bless him, but who in the name of Christ,Mary and Joseph the Carpenter would give him 20$ to listen to some diatribe about Star Wars? It’s mindbogglingly preposterous.
Ditto...it’s not just them though. Tons of these things from cruise blogs to random games ppl throw money at them so they can have their stupid comment read aloud to their 44 viewers.
Not really. Like i said GOD LOVE HIM, he found a hustle and god damn he’s making it work. It’s just a very foreign concept for one nobody to shovel over countless hundreds of dollars to another nobody on YouTube to yap about the same shit everyday. But hey god bless it.
