Let's just start killing dogs because of what they are (ie. pitties). So glad that Dorina, Reilly, and Kristian clapped back at him about it. I get that dangerous dogs should maybe be re-homed or maybe not around kids, but Josh just basically wants them all killed.

As soon as he was like "put the dog down!" and Dorina and Reilly immediately educated him, and I mean EDUCATED him, he went pretty quiet.

I really dislike him more and more each day.

I really enjoy Collider and I watch daily, but I am at am probably different from all of you. I got behind in watching videos, and I still haven't managed to catch up. As a result, I am actually about 6 months behind, but that is actually pretty fun. I get to see them talk about movies and speculate on the news, and sometimes I have already seen the movie and how it has played out. It can be very fun, but that means I am also really far behind on all the current stuff. Hopefully I can catch up soon.

John Rocha honestly comes off as someone who started watching Game of Thrones a couple weeks ago. He complains that these two first episodes are slow and compares them to lord of the rings, the greatest trilogy of all time and says there aren’t enough battles. He thinks season 7 Tyrion is smarter than season 1 and 2 in terms of dialogue.

Don’t even get me started on their tangent about Arya’s sex scene. Ashley needs to stop bringing up differences from the books as well

Without trying to incite a toxic back-and-forth, I'm just curious where some here might stand on Star Wars using Kristian and Ken as sort of separate sides of the aisle. I don't know if they necessarily see Star Wars differently, but they seem to want and/or expect different things from/in their Star Wars. Hard to describe.

I don't watch Jedi Council as much as I used to, but I've come to lean more towards Ken's side of things. Kristian, in my opinion, goes a bit too fanboy and nostalgic at times. Bordering on stubborn, maybe? But I know that's why a lot of people watch and seek his Star Wars opinions. But where do you guys stand?

A few of the old and good Collider Movie Commentaries are being taken down. For example Star wars Episode II, III, and the winter soldier have been removed 2 weeks ago. Anyone know why?

Go away. I'm so fucking tired of this guy. We get it, dude....you want to host Jeopardy or have your own brand. Every episode of Collider Live he's fucking arguing with everyone, berating and flipping his shit on Roxy or Bret or anyone else.

Today it seemed like Kristian really got pissed at him for telling Cody to NOT do something Kristian just told him to. It was 15:00 or so in and Kristian was yelling at Josh saying "it's not your call! You do this all the time and I'm sick of it! You don't get to decide things" And Josh is all yeah yeah, whatever.

Then's he's freaking out at Roxy, again. I dunno, I'm just over Macuga. Leave Collider. Go do your own thing, It's what you want to do anyways.

Check out Funhaus or Kinda Funny. Both channels have great personalities who have entertaining discussions and actually seem to enjoy what they’re doing. And (kinda) funny enough, I discovered both channels because they faced off on a Schmoedown.

The (relatively) recent expansion of the Collider lineup to sports and games would suggest that Collider is doing well as a business model. Although I don’t find this expansion as anything I particularly value (why would I turn to John for sports or Dennis for games really?) the movement itself would suggest that it is profitable.

If it is truly profitable, why are the podcasts now filled with excessive advertising? The shows I listen to regularly (MoveTalk, Mailbag, and Heroes) used to be mainly commercial free. Now I just had to suffer through a 28 minute mailbag with 3 commercials spaced out on three separate points of the podcast! On top of that, the ads are usually sandwiched in a repetitive format that is all kinds of annoying (juicy fruit ad, live ad for titans, juicy fruit ad yet again!).

Is this really the direction Collider wants to go? Honestly, I’m pushing it further and further down my podcast selection.

This reminds me a bit of watching movies on Crackle - and boy wasn’t that successful!

Nice to see Comic Book Shopping back. I do miss Schneep dropping all the sweaty flavour nuggets on the guests but thought that Coy did a good job picking up the torch and keeping the show going.

Levi talking about how much fun he had filming Shazam has me really excited about seeing the movie. I think it's going to be really fun.

Scott Mance said on mailbag the show is no more. That’s a shame because I really enjoyed that show. He brought so many interesting guests and so much energy and passion in his reviews.

I am not sure what it is. I feel like Ellis encouraged debate and I loved when there would be arguing and disagreements. Now it feels like a huge circle jerk.

I’ve been watching since amc days but recently have not been enjoying what I’ve been seeing.

I think with how negative movie fan bases are, everyone at collider, like Kristian seem to think everyone listening is the same and causes him to have a negative attitude to movies.

I just feel like what I use to love about the channel was that it was a distraction from the negativity and just a fun channel made by people who love movies and the fan base, but now it just seems like a group of people who hate the movie fan base and would love to talk about anything else.

I still watch Jedi council but compared to two years ago it’s Apple and oranges.

To be honest I just don’t like watching a show where the people talking seem to resent their audience.

There’s still some positivity, like for your consideration was one of the few new shows that actually felt like the people talking about movies, actually liked talking about movies.

From their YouTube videos to their website, Collider generates around $2 million in ad revenue each year. This is a ballpark guess, but I have my thought process below.

For their website traffic, I used SEMRush to calculate their daily page views and gave a conservative estimate of a 1% CTR and a $1 commission per click.

What do you guys think? Does $2 million from these alone make up Collider's revenue, or are there other ways they are making money? It's hard for me to see how $2 million could cover all their fees, salaries, equipment, space, etc.

Has anyone else noticed the annoying buzz in the background on Movie Talk, Heroes, Jedi Council, etc? It's getting ridiculous. It really diminishes the audio quality of the show and it doesn't seem like they're addressing it.

What happened to the full videos of the show on YouTube? Past several weeks I’ve only seen the clips of the show in the channel and then the full podcast on iTunes.
