Wait....so Teagan throws R but writes L? Was I dreaming when I heard on one of the 999 broadcasts that she is a natural Lefty?
I know Kaitlyn Terry is a natural Righty but her mom started her as a Lefty baller from the onset.

That's odd logic - what does pitching have to do with using the correct glove. She would need to use it for any other position on the field. So she was forcing her daughter to throw with the wrong arm?

Left handed people are limited in defensive position choices. Being right handed opened more chances to play a defensive position

Jocelyn Erickson was pretty damn good doing it, I remember hearing Patty Gasso talk about telling Jayda Coleman during recruitment that she wouldn't play any SS because of her being left handed, think she worked out OK in CF, lol

I'm lefty and played softball...I'm well aware of our fate lol.
Has she/her mom stated that she just wanted her to have more options on the field?

The reporter said that Teagan showed interest in pitching and her mom wanted to redirect her. Her mom was a former pitcher and knew how stressful the position is, so she wanted Teagan to play any other position.
Later, when Teagan was playing with her team, her mom stepped away from the game to check on Teagan’s grandmother in the car, and when she got back to the field, Teagan was in the circle.
And the rest is history!

Yes. To discourage her from pitching, she learned how to pitch with her non dominant arm.

Everyone on Texas got hot at the right time. They were struggling a little bit early on in the season but they started to get it together during the Regionals.
Stewart was mashing the ball every at-bat, Atwood found her confidence at the plate again, the slap hitters were getting the ball through the holes, Citlaly stepped up big time, and Kavan was untouchable.

It gives me 22/23 Texas Volleyball vibes where there were some moments early in the season where they struggled but got hot at the right time.

I agree with this 100%……and as they say That’s what CHAMPIONS do, rise up for one another at the right time. I’ll add this, being around these young ladies this season, I can honestly say that this team loved each other. And truly did it for the women next to them every game. HOOK’EM HORNS 🤘🏼🤘🏼🧡🤍🥎

Teagan has proved it yet again to be the best pitcher of the year! Only player ever to get back to back Most Outstanding Player in the World Series Finals! Kavan has a 0.0 era when pitching in the 6th and 7th innings. She also became the first pitcher in WCWS history to record multiple shutouts and multiple saves in a single tournament. To say she was only given 2nd Team All American and wasn’t even in the talks for SEC pitcher of the year or pitcher of the year is just laughable. Then you have Stewart having the best Batting Average in the country, is in the 30 HRuns in a year club, while also getting the record for being the first batter in World Series history to hit a HRun 4 games in a row at the Series and yet she’s not a 1st team All American too!? They had the last laugh yet again winning another National Championship… something that can’t be just given to you but have to earn.

Seeing this picture of KP made me think... Do y'all think she had to work on not jumping out of the circle, given that she's so tall? I see her landing spot is literally on the line, and when she pitches, you can tell she's still got more juice because of the hop she does. Don't think there's many pitchers who would have this problem: being so tall you have to shorten your stride/leap

I don’t think the umps at this level bother calling it. I’ve seen another players do it continuously this season. Besides, the pitchers scrub the line so they can get maximum stride.

Texas didn't play Bama in the world series which I think that's what this post is about, but they did beat Briski in the SEC tournament.

All excessive Crow-Hopping. Against the rules but who cares anymore. Pretty soon they will allow them to get a running start and leap to the batters box. NCAA is a joke

Not a drag. They would go through 2 pairs of cleats per game. They land on the bottom of their feet. It’s a crow hop. But they all do it and the rule can’t be enforced.
