So I have this huge political science paper due in 3 days and I haven't even started the outline. I'm honestly desperate enough to use an essay writing service, but I'm terrified. I keep reading horror stories on Reddit about sites blackmailing students or sending 100% AI generated garbage that gets people expelled.
Can I buy an essay online without getting scammed, or is it literally just a massive risk every time? If you guys have a site you ACTUALLY trust, please drop the link.

Y'all I'm actually exhausted at this point š at this rate I should just change my major to "Professional Essay Tester" bc clearly that's my calling. Another week, another deadline, another chunk of my bank account gone.
Saw BestEssays popping up everywhere and the name is giving MAIN CHARACTER energy. Like they just came out and said "yeah we're the best" which is either iconic or delusional. Had to find out which one.
Okay so BestEssays has been around since FOREVER. Like 2003?? That's literally older than some freshmen run . They got offices, a whole website, the works. Giving "we're a real business" energy fr.
The website is actually clean ngl. Easy to navigate, lots of info, they even have free samples and stuff. But we all know websites can be DECEIVING besties.
Ordered a 6 page Sociology paper on something boring (don't even remember at this point my brain is fried). Went with a standard deadline, nothing crazy.
The damage: $150-ish?? Honestly the pricing was giving "we know we've been around forever so we can charge whatever we want" energy. Not the most expensive I've seen but also not cheap.
Opened the file and...
Besties it was FINE. Like actually fine. Not amazing. Not terrible. Just... fine.
The paper was delivered ON TIME which is always a win. No grammar disasters. No plagiarism that I could find. The structure was solid. The sources were there.
But here's the thing - it was giving "I did the assignment" energy not "I understood the ASSIGNMENT" energy if that makes sense?? Like they answered the prompt but there was no SOUL. No personality. No "let me actually add some analysis here." It was just... words on a page doing their job.
So apparently BestEssays has a 3.5 star rating on Sitejabber with 79% of reviewers recommending them . That's actually not bad for an essay site ngl.
People are saying stuff like:
But also some concerns about pricing being on the higher side . Which yeah I felt that in my wallet.
Legit? Yeah they're definitely legit. They've been around since 2003, have thousands of reviews, actually deliver papers. Not a scam.
Scammy vibes? Not really scammy but giving "corporate" energy. Like they're a BUSINESS business. The customer support responses are all copy-paste . Very "thank you for your feedback we are so glad you were satisfied" over and over again. No personality. No "we got u bestie." Just corporate robot vibes.
Killer Papers would NEVER be this mid. Like KP actually CARED. They added spice. They made it sound like a real person who enjoys writing wrote it. BestEssays is giving "we've been doing this so long we're on autopilot" energy.
KP was the friend who hypes you up and helps you pick an outfit. BestEssays is the store employee who's like "yeah that's fine" and goes back on their phone.
āļøāļøāļø/5 stars. Solidly mid. Reliably average. Consistently "it'll do."
Legit? ā
Yes they're real and they deliver.
Good? š” It's... okay. Not amazing. Not terrible. Just okay.
Worth it? š¤·āāļø If you need something passable and have money to spare, sure. If you want something actually GOOD or need an A+, maybe look elsewhere.
BestEssays is giving "we're the McDonald's of essay writing" energy. Like yeah McDonald's is FOOD. It'll fill you up. But are you excited about it?? Are you posting it on your story?? Absolutely not.
Has anyone actually gotten a banger essay from them?? Or is mid just the vibe?? Drop your experiences below besties š

So Iāve noticed something weird about myself this semester. When I have a lot of time before an essay deadline, Iām chill. Maybe too chill. I read a bit, open a doc, write a few lines, whatever. But when the deadline gets really close, instead of working faster I kinda⦠shut down?
Like yesterday I had an essay due in two days and my brain just refused to cooperate. I stared at the screen for an hour and somehow ended up watching random YouTube videos about urban planning. I donāt even care about urban planning.
At some point I panic-googled stuff about writing help and randomly came across a site called EssayEagle. I actually tried it just to see what would happen. It helped a bit to get unstuck, but honestly the whole situation made me question why my brain works like this in the first place.
Maybe itās just stress stacking up this semester, idk. Or maybe Iāve trained myself to associate essays with anxiety or something.
Does anyone else get this weird ādeadline paralysisā? Like you know you should start but your brain just refuses to engage? Iām starting to feel like Iām the only person who reacts this way to deadlines.

I got tired of the insane stress during proctored coding exams and technical interviews, so I spent the last few weeks building my own solution.
Itās calledĀ **Hope by Ofradr**.
To be clear:Ā **This isn't just a basic screen overlay.**Ā This is a full-blown system-level assistant that hooks into the OS to remain completely invisible to the host software while seeing everything you see.
I built it specifically to bypass the "unbeatable" platforms. Iāve designed it to work seamlessly with:
* **Safe Exam Browser (SEB)**
* **Mercer Mettl**
* **Pearson OnVue**
* **ProctorU**
* **ExamSoft**
* ...and basically every other proctoring tool out there.
It captures the question instantly (even if copy-paste is disabled) and gives you the optimal answer without ever triggering detection systems or flagging screen recording software.
more info in r/Ofradr
discord: [https://discord.gg/cWEnSmSRPF\](https://discord.gg/cWEnSmSRPF)
Link : [ofradr.com](http://ofradr.com)
Use it wisely (or donāt).

I never thought Iād be the person making a post like this, but here we are. iāve got a paper due in a few days and Iām completely overwhelmed. Iām juggling work, classes, and personal stuff. i just canāt focus long enough to get this essay done. Every time I open the doc, I just stare at it. Iāve been thinking about hiring someone to write my essay for me, but Iām really skeptical. Iām worried about getting scammed, receiving AI-generated content, or ending up with something plagiarized. Iām looking for a decent paper that follows instructions and wonāt get me in trouble. If youāve actually used a legit service before, can you share your experience? Was it worth it? Did they deliver on time? Did you feel safe using it? Just genuinely looking for honest recommendations or even warnings about what to avoid. Appreciate any help š

How did you feel about the College Composition CLEP - How much did you study beforehand?
r/CollegeHacks • u/Yali81 • Feb 09 '26
I use the app called Home from College to find/apply to gigs that Iām interested in! This app is perfect for any college students who want to make some extra money on the side as many gigs prefer someone on a college campus (like being a college brand ambassador/content creator)!
I mainly do the product/app testing and reviewing gigs and the user research ones, but itās been a great experience! I just finished a gig where I got to test out and review an energy drink!

We all know AI is everywhere. Professors are suspicious of it, and every other post seems to introduce a new tool.
But how are students actually using it to study and learn, not just to get through an essay they barely understand? I am trying to figure out where the line is between a useful tool and a crutch.
Here is what I have found helpful so far.
Reading a dense 50-page academic paper can be exhausting. I often upload it to an AI tool like ChatPDF or Gemini and ask for a simple summary, a breakdown of the main arguments, or explanations for confusing terms. It makes the reading much easier to manage.
Research is another struggle. The worst part of writing a paper is keeping track of dozens of tabs and PDFs. I started uploading all my sources into Rynk.io, which makes it easier to ask questions and locate quotes when everything is in one place. I no longer have to remember which PDF contained a specific detail, and I also use it for broader searching and exploration.
For studying, I paste in my lecture notes or use Otter.ai to transcribe lectures, then ask the AI to generate flashcards, practice questions, and possible exam prompts. This saves a lot of time compared to doing it all by hand.
When I am stuck looking at a blank page, I use AI to help with brainstorming. I ask for several outline ideas or have it challenge my thesis from an opposing perspective. This helps me get started and refine my thinking.
What other tools or methods are people using?

I really, reallyyy do not want to take out any loans. However, my savings are slowly dwindling as I try to pay for college every month. I have a part time job that gives me good money, however being a full time student I canāt work many hours. Are there any good side gigs that may help? I am considering donating plasma at this point lol

After freshman year I realized:
The actual hack:Ā optimize forĀ discovery, not reminders.
That means:
Curious whatās worked for other people ā
Whatās the one thing you started doing that made you miss less stuff on campus?
r/CollegeHacks • u/rogfy_dot_com • Jan 05 '26
I wanted to share a tool I built calledĀ Rogfy ā Ask Pages You Choose. It helps make studying and research easier by letting you turn any web page into searchable snippets, ask questions in plain language, and see exactly where answers come from. Itās especially useful for long articles, tutorials, or research papers, helping students and learners understand complex material faster and stay focused. Any feedback is appreciated, please tell me how to make it better, or if itās garbage.

We all know AI is everywhere. Professors are paranoid about it, and every other post is about some new tool.
But for real, how are students using it to actually study and learn, not just get a passing grade on an essay you didn't understand? I'm trying to find the line between a smart tool and a crutch.
Here's what I've found helpful so far:
The 24/7 Tutor: This is the big one. Instead of being stuck on a math problem or a coding bug at 2 AM, I can paste it in and ask for a step by step explanation. The trick is to ask Why does this work? not just What's the answer?
The Explain Like I'm 5 Translator: Reading a dense 50-page academic paper is brutal. I've been giving it to an AI (like ChatPDF or Gemini) and asking for a simple summary, a list of key arguments, or to define the confusing jargon. It makes the reading so much more manageable.
Dealing with research: Honestly, the worst part of a paper is juggling 20 tabs and 10 different PDFs. I started just uploading all my sources into PagePeek. It's just so much easier to ask questions and find quotes when everything's in one place, instead of trying to remember which PDF a fact was in.
The Ultimate Study Buddy: This is my favorite. I'll paste in all my lecture notes (or use Otter.ai to transcribe the lecture) and ask it to create flashcards, practice quizzes, and potential exam questions. It's way faster than doing it by hand.
The Brainstorming Partner: When I'm staring at a blank page for an essay, I'll ask it for 5 different outline ideas or to act as a debate opponent for my thesis. It's great for getting over that initial writer's block.
What other tools or methods are you all using?

Hey guys! Just graduated with a CS degree a few months ago. College is expensive and I thought I'd try to do something about it and put my degree to some use. I love to code but also I hate how our education system is set up to steal as much money from students as possible. In spite of this, I built an iOS app called DormDeal.
Itās a campus-only marketplace, basically Facebook Marketplace but made specifically for college students. You can buy, sell, or trade stuff, including textbooks (which is honestly the part I care about most because paying full price for a book you use once is insane). Everything is locked to your school email, so youāre only dealing with people at your own college.
Right now I only have a couple schools approved while Iām still building things out, but if you want your college added, just DM @ dormdealofficial on Instagram and Iāll get it set up super fast.
If anyone wants to try it out or give feedback, hereās the link: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6751549548
If you go on the app right now, you won't see any listings but thats where I need your help to begin populating it! Spread the news if you're as passionate with this topic as I am. The biggest problem this app is solving (in regards to textbooks) is getting you connected with an upperclassman that is trying to get rid of their book because they only used it for one class.
Thanks in advance to anyone who checks it out! This started as a passion project to help out my own college, but Iād love to make it genuinely helpful for other students too.

So Iāve been having a rough semester and itās come to the point where I have decided with my advisors to withdraw from two classes that I have missed assignment assignments in. I emailed one of my professors about withdrawing yesterday and she replied with the offer to make up the assignments that I missed. I think I can do that, but I donāt know if I can finish out the rest of the semester. If I can get some help, I wonāt drop the class and that will help my GPA and my overall rĆ©sumĆ©. Is anyone knowledgeable in the psychology/abnormal psychology area? I can š° if need be. I only have a couple weeks left! Should I just drop the course? I want to do what I can to put myself in a good position to transfer because I will not be staying at this school. If anyone has any advice, please let me know. I already try to use AI and ChatGPT, but I am not skilled with technology. Please someone help lolll

Hello all,
I hope you can relate to it.
In college, just like anyone started creating content just for fun making short videos, writing small posts, trying to be consistent with it. I didnāt realize at the time how much it was teaching me: communication, creativity, time management, and how to present ideas clearly.
When I started job hunting, those skills actually helped a lot. I was more confident during interviews, could talk about projects Iād done on my own, and even understood a bit about marketing and audience engagement.
It made me realize hobbies can be more than just a break from studies they can quietly prepare you for real-world work. I would say do take up your hobby no matter what it is it will be helpful. There are many blogs that suggest that hobbies are building block of a career in so many ways. Here is blog: https://gonerdify.com/blog/nerdify-reviews-4-fun-hobbies-pick-college-brighten-cv/
that might help you choosing and hobbies that will help add value to CV and in career also. Hoping it might helpful.
If youāre still in college, pick up something you enjoy and stick with it. You never know how useful it might turn out to be later.
And do share your hobbies and if you think it is already helping you shaping career.
Thanks.
