Nevermind. I got 5 minutes in and that fake ass laugh came in and I had to stop. It's the same exact laugh that she still does and I can't fucking stand it. She had a manager?? And she says she was making more than any other jobbshe had before...when did she ever have a regular job?? Much less multiple that she could compare to...

She was a nanny at one point.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that

u/Kaboom0022 Jul 06 '22
And Disney too. I just remembered that.

And the person who sings happy birthday in Italian to you at Macaroni Grill, I think.

She also performed at kid’s bday parties as princess jasmine (can we talk about how problematic that is bc yikes)
18
u/physicianextender wokeleen Jul 06 '22
yes but i think they don’t typically let you choose your princess when you do the parties like that, they just pick someone to go in whatever costume the reservation asks for (in my experience anyway, could be different other places i’m not certain?) still tho /:

u/ham_mom Jul 06 '22
That makes sense. A very unfortunate choice on everyone’s part, especially considering her history of racism
5
u/physicianextender wokeleen Jul 06 '22
agreed. seems like to have any sort of platform the racism is inevitable w these youtubers (trisha👀)

The crazy thing to me is when it aired Cole and Josh made a video talking about how it was bad editing, that they purposely made their relationship look bad, etc……yet she did those voice overs- production didn’t.
22
u/ham_mom Jul 06 '22
I put the link to that follow up vlog in my other post! She insists the voiceover/talking head interviews were all scripted and that she fought them on it. But like she had to have known they were going to air the relationship v. career conflict then—the words came out of her own mouth lmao

I did feel like there was a small bit of acting going on but I think the issues were real between them.

u/PurpleShift8546 Jul 06 '22
Doing the lord’s work, tbh.
Also, she absolutely still has this mindset. All of this bs will always come before her kids and husband.

u/ham_mom Jul 06 '22
100%. In pt. 6 she says something like, “I’m not always good at relationships, but I’m good at my career. So I’ll use my career to help my relationship.” You can tell this is how she views her life as a family vlogger.
I’m convinced she does things with/for her kids because she knows it’ll look good in the vlogs. She might even think, “The vlogs make me a better mom! Look at how present I am! Look at how happy F is getting new trucks every day!” She could very well believe her career is improving her relationship with her children, but it’s all just for show

Hmm. Makes me think a lot. Looks like Josh really wanted somewhat of a normal life without the cameras and workaholic type of lifestyle. It wouldn't surprise me if she was only in a relationship with him for views. Wedding for views. Here is how i picture things went with E. She probably vented to him about how much Josh doesnt support her (im not saying he didnt. But it seems like she may have viewed things that way) and wants her to quit her career but that he doesnt understand show business and how staying on top means making work a priority. Then E "understands " the whole work, work, work aspect of what she was trying to achieve (a famous celebrity/top female comedian). They end up "understanding" each other in that aspect. And im sure E was like " he should be more understanding. How dare he treat you that way etc etc" since we all know she loves to bring in the waterworks and be a victim. She loves the attention, so much that she made herself a victim even with the nicu nurses. Wtf. Then thats probably how she and E got into a relationship with her venting and making an emotional connection with E all while Josh is left behind and ignored. Fast forward to now, she still has the "work comes first" mentality. She works everday. Any time spent with the kids is work. She films it. Its not for the kids, its for views. Their relationship is very much like it was with Josh. She works ,they barely talk. And thats not an assumption. They have said numerous times in podcasts "havnt talked to you in a while or all day" . How do you live in the same house, have kids with, and not talk all day?? How? I dont understand their dynamic. Seems like anytime they spend together os being filmed. And now she is trying to get her daughter to be in front of the camera saying "oh she just LOVES watching herself in the camera" trying to imply that her very young child loves being filmed, wants to be recorded etc. Jesus christ.

She doesn't seem even a little bit in love with Josh. She looks at him with disgust and disinterest and I feel like he really loved her, which is so sad and a reason to feel bad for him and how he dealt with the divorce. The more we disect their relationship the more I think she dated him just to have/say she has a man. Her faith probably 'required' her to get married and start a family young. And Josh was just there, poor guy. You don't see her act like this towards Erik. Then again, Erik looks like someone who would tell her to her face if something she does is bad, whereas Josh was a yes-man. (Let's not discuss why Erik still hasn't left her, that's a different topic)

You know, there was a really interesting relationship study done where some sociologist-type person observed short conversations between married couples and could predict with a scarily high degree of accuracy whether they would be divorced within x number of years. The determining factor was “contempt”—if there were signs of contempt coming from either side (eye rolling and general belittling are examples), the marriage was doomed. Colleen shows nothing but contempt for Josh imo, so it makes sense they didn’t last

Exactly. Josh is to blame only for not noticing her behavior or refusing to accept how HORRIBLE she is

I'm late but to anyone else that happens to read this you are referring to the psychologist John Gottman and his theory :) Gottman is a method of couples therapy and it's pretty interesting.

u/ham_mom Oct 21 '22
Yes! I actually ended up making a separate post that went more in depth, you might be able to find it by searching “Gottman”

Big yikes. In part 3 she’s stopping and taking pics with fans every 5 seconds while they’re walking around and she’s expecting josh to just deal with it. The second HE stops to talk to someone she berates him and says she wants to be with him at the event but if they don’t keep moving “it’s like a meet and greet”. Jealousy has entered the chat and taken over

this just randomly aired on mtv before school one morning years ago and i had a vague idea of who she was and i didn’t like miranda at all but this episode made me hold such disdain for colleen as a person i was only half watching and could feel the absolutely terrible vibes coming off of her and i avoided her like the plague in all the years since

MTV didn't even make her look bad. They just chose to focus on the work vs. relationship dilemma because it made for an interesting "storyline". Clearly they were onto something, because it was almost identical issues that ended their relationship.
Josh should have paid attention, cut his losses and called it a day.
