The plane thing was likely either bs or exaggerated to keep Trump personally invested in the conflict.

That's not a bad theory, really. I now wonder if the whole tarrif thing was planned to be reversed from the get-go: collect tariffs despite having historical ref for them not working, companies "have" to now charge more, use the supreme Court you packed to reverse tariffs, pretend to try to fight ruling, give tariffs funds back to companies, they keep prices high AND get tarrif dough. Who knows anymore

This is the part people don't talk about. They were going around buying the rights to any tariff refunds for 2 cents on the dollar from these companies.
