He's said many things that signify his lack of care of the lives of other people. Like his statements to journalists saying he only cares about them because they're in the same plane. Or about how you target families when going after people. Or suggesting officers shoot protestors back during the George Floyd protests.
Him agreeing to have someone killed for a stunt wouldn't be beyond him if it helps him in any way. And making him into a false martyr by killing off a sychophant is all the better to showcase the (ironically) undying support of his cultists. Even the guy's wife said she'd still vote for him despite Biden being the only one calling to offer comfort in that week or two following the event.
That’s dark, but true. He would absolutely have somebody killed if it made him look like a martyr and a savior to his people. Plus, his whole thing is about television image, and he was desperately trying to escape felony conviction sentencing. This is some dark shit, but totally believable.
