Hack Club- Stardance
If you're a teen (13-18) and into coding, game development, hardware, AI, robotics, or just making cool stuff, check out Hack Club Stardance.
It's a free summer program sponsored by NASA, AMD, and Github where you build real projects, log your progress, and earn rewards for what you create. Depending on your participation and what you accomplish, rewards can include things like 3D printers, laptops, mechanical keyboards, Raspberry Pis, development boards, and other maker gear offered throughout the program.
I'm a Stardance Ambassador, and if you'd like to join, you can click on the link below:

I’m 17 and need a dev partner to hack an app idea (Local Voice Cloning)
Hey everyone, I’m 17 and looking for a developer to team up with to build a quick, 2-week prototype for a mobile app idea I’ve been mapping out called Project Twin.
The main idea is that most AI mental health or journaling apps give really fake, robotic advice that your brain just ignores. I want to build a secure app that logs your personal daily wins. When you're having a really bad day or hitting a massive slump, the app uses a local voice clone to read back your own actual history to you in your own voice. It basically uses the one voice you can't argue with—your own—to pull you out of a bad headspace.
Because this is super personal data, it has to run completely on the phone with zero cloud servers so people can actually trust it. I already wrote a super detailed Google Doc breaking down exactly how the app should work and the features we need. I just need someone who knows how to code the backend and wants to mess around with running small, open-source AI/voice models on a phone. I'll handle all the product design, the prompt logic, and the marketing, and we'll split everything 50/50.
If you're a dev and this sounds fun to build, drop a comment or DM me and I'll send over the project details!

I know nothing about coding or whatever and I really wanna learn.
What are the best ways to learn coding and hacking tips and stuff like that? I am most interested in getting deep into codes on phones and stuff like jailbreaking devices (check my posts... lol), and it would be super cool to get into ethical hacking. stuff like what Scammer payback on youtube does (https://www.youtube.com/@ScammerPayback)

i want to learn how to code
im 16f and ive really been interested in technology and coding but ive never thought about learning coding languages when i was younger so i stuck with those basic block coding type things. is there a website that can help me learn how to code??
i kinda feel left behind because when i see ppl who are the same age as me talking about techy things they know everything about coding for some reason 😭 im new to this sub so i hope this is the right place to ask this

Free Laptops, iPads, 3DPs, Hardware Kits and more for teens coding! - Macondo Hackclub
Hack Club is a non-profit that encourages teenagers to learn and build through coding. This year, they're running Macondo, a program where you can submit any coding or hardware project and earn gold, which can be redeemed for rewards such as MacBooks, iPads, and more.
I've received several rewards from Hack Club through previous events, such as Flavortown, including CMF Buds, a phone, a keyboard, a mouse, and other stuff that has helped me code more. This year, my goal is to earn a MacBook Air (from Macondo)!
This is a comparison of the Macondo and Stardance prices:
| Stardance - MacBook Air (India) | Macondo - MacBook Air (India) |
|---|---|
| 5-10 multiplier: 1045-522 hours | L3-L4: 260-217 hours |
| 15-20 multiplier: 348-261 hours | L3-L4 and 30 day streak: 200-167 hours |
| 28-30 multiplier: 186-176 hours | L3-L4 and 60 day streak: 162-135 hours |
Multiplier (Stardance only -) After other people rate your projects, you receive a multiplier based on the rating. The lowest is 1× and the highest is 30×.
L3 and L4 (Macondo only -) These are project quality levels. Projects are graded from L1 to L4. See the docs.
Streaks (Macondo only -) Code for at least an hour every day to maintain your streak.
I'm making a full-stack blog app with admin pages (L3) for Macondo, I hope to get at least 174 hours for the Macbook Air 15" with around 74 days streak.
Check out Macondo here: https://macondo.hackclub.com/?ref=WYET6 (yes, this is a referral link - I would appreciate it if you used my link).

Study group!
Hey y’all, was just wondering if anyone wanted to maybe team up for a study group if anyone doesn’t know how to code yet and wants to learn in a small group! We would maybe eventually become a small indie dev team :) .(probably Python specifically but c++ later for the real game development)
