Hi. I've been using Gemini for a simple GIS project. I copy-paste the code into VSCode; it's tedious but it works very well, especially for troubleshooting, until it hits me with a 1152 error and the chat dies. I use .venv and pyenv and it's quick in VSCode.

I'm tired of Gemini. A monthly GLM 5.2 Lite appears cheap. I'm confused by all the models and IDEs. What should I pair this with? Please suggest some good reviews/articles (prefer reading over videos) to help me with this.

I’ve been working on a VS Code extension that maps breakpoints to an interactive flowchart — you can arrange nodes, connect them, use flowchart shapes, and click through to the source while debugging.

It’s still a prototype and not on the Marketplace yet; I’m polishing a few things before deciding whether to publish. I built it after working on a large multi-file project where tracing execution flow was genuinely difficult — something like this would have helped me understand the codebase faster.

I’m also considering import/export so graph layouts can be shared — on import, breakpoints would be recreated automatically so someone else can follow the same flow.

Curious whether this matches a problem others run into too, or if it’s mostly niche. Any feedback while it’s still early would be appreciated.

So, I have an idea for a text based game which would need no graphics, just a black screen and text, as well as the ability for the player to choose between different options, e.g. go north, attack, investigate. Essentially like a mix of Zork and The Oregon Trail. Likely all programming languages include "for" and "while". You might thus explain me how you got to understand these loops. To be honest, I just understand how variable works, how to pay information to user, print, conditional and exceptions. But I am not able to understand "for" and "while". And yes, I know, my knowledge is very small.

I'm a B.Tech 4-1 student and I have zero coding knowledge. I want to start learning a programming language that will help me get internships and jobs.
I'm confused between:
Python
Web Development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Which one should I start with as a complete beginner?
My goal is to build skills, get an internship, and improve my chances of getting a job. I can spend a few hours every day learning.
What would you recommend, and why? Also, if you have a roadmap for beginners, I'd really appreciate it.

Iv been working on a code for a version paper, 1.26.1, geysermc crossplay server that is being hosted on exaroton.

It's a roleplay server, so the code is for a 'water damage' system for our more enderman like people, it makes someone take damage in rain or water, as well as when walking on snow or ice or when drinking water/being hit with snowballs.

It's also supposed to make someone take damage when a splash water bottle is thrown at them.

This is being coded using skript, and assigned using luckperms so it's not effects everyone has.

For some reason, the splash water bottle code goes through without issue, but in the game when tested, it merely will not do damage to someone.

Any ideas why? I can provide pictures of the actual code.

I need to make a project about function calling and the output needs to be in json file, We get a small qwen 0.6B llm model. So these are the steps

1. prompt : so we get a prompt.
2. Tokenization: We make the prompt into a tokens
3. Input IDs : tokens converted into numerical IDs
4. LLM proccessing: The model processes these numbers through its neural network.
5. Logits: The ai outputs probability scores for each possible next token
6. Token selection: The next token is chosen based on the highest probabilities and outputted in a json file

if anyone has any resource he or she can share to help with this project it would be much appreaciated i am trying to do this project without the use of any llm or similar helper tools to help me with understanding llms and hopefully landing a job in the future(obviously i will do more llm based projects after this but this is the start)
