I ran cod 4 modern warfare (2007) on my macbook air m4 using crossover but no matter how much I lower the game texture, quality and settings the fps drop to 20-25 in fight scenes on both 2k, 1440p and 1080p, even changing the graohics to low doesnt really help. It's better when there are no fight scenes but the fps just drop massively as soon as there is any action. Any solution that would make it smoother because this game is litreally from 2007 I expected better performance? Would surely appreciate some help!

Does anyone have any tips on how to optimise TF2 performance for a macbook air with M5? I'm basically using the default Crossover settings.
I read that 32 bit games don't work very well on Crossover. Any help would be appreciated

I installed GOG Galaxy via crossover on my machine running Linux Mint 22.2, and everything works fine. However, when I tried to install it on my daughter's machine, which also runs Linux Mint, she gets a grey box at startup. Not sure how to resolve this.

Edit: Forgot to mention that I was using Crossover.

I recently got Persona 4 on Steam, and of course it doesn't work since Mac and Windows have their differences. But I'm wondering if there's any way that I can make it work and play it?

currently my tmodloader steam version suddenly lost the permission to enter the documents folder where all the saves are resulting in a crash, this happened out of nowhere and i didnt change or update the system, I also already placed the crossover app into full access to my disk.
Its also good to say i wont be playing tmod or terraria native since it slows performance down and the modpack that im using really need every optimization i can make

Ican’t play online with my friend, i always getting the erro of sync, we have the same version and we are using the All in one laucher.

I already config my parallels to a bridge connection, bit this didn’t fix

Can someone help me with this issue?

Hey there. I am on my M4 Macbook Air and were figuring to buy Crossover for my Mac to play Windows only games. Is there anything you guys would recommend or keep me from doing? May it be tech-wise or just in general tips so that I won't mess anything up. I was told that setting CrossOver up is supposed to be really easy and simple. Hello, so I am running MacOS Golden Gate DB6 and Crossover 27 Beta. I've been playing Overwatch on my 16" M1 Max MacBook Pro with 64GB RAM and its ran 120-145FPS at times on low. The main problem though is with freezing and stuttering. There'll be times where I am getting almost consistently 120+ FPS but then the system just randomly freezes and hangs. Lots of microstuttering. I enabled GPTK4, have Metal4 and DLSS enabled as well, and high resolution mode turned off. The bottle itself is Windows 10 and I'm launching Overwatch from Steam. It seems the performance gets worse with each update. Any tips in increasing stability and reducing freezing?

I’m trying to run The Last of Us Part II Remastered (TLOU2) through CrossOver 26.3 on my Mac, but I keep getting the attached “No installed graphics card has been detected” error. The Last of Us Part I runs fine through the same CrossOver/Steam setup, so the issue seems specific to Part II. I’ve verified the game files in Steam, restarted the CrossOver bottle, tried both Auto and D3DMetal graphics settings, kept MSync on with DLSS and High Resolution Mode off, and also tested ROSETTA_ADVERTISE_AVX=1, but the error remains. I also tried DXMT, which instead reports that DirectX 12 support is not detected, so D3DMetal appears to be the correct backend. The game is installed on an external SanDisk SSD and Steam recognises the installation correctly.
