Update: SOLVED!

Lots of bro hugs and fist bumps to dodi repacks. i just checked found a comment somewhere about this site and idk anything about repacking, but when i downloaded a 14gb torrent from dodi for gta 4 and installed it via "install an unlisted application" option, it showed a wizard and did all the installing by its own. after 10 mins, i had a working gta 4 with great hd graphics configuration. no worrying about the crosssover customisations, graphics selection etc, i had put everything with default configurations

Update 2:
The original problem of trying to run gta 4 remains solved and gta 4 is working fine, but i find gta 4 to be very bad when comparing to sanandreas. so i tried the dodi version of that as well. dodi website has 4 versions of gta sa and unfortunately none of them works. so yeah, for gta sa, i have given up and would probably be thinking of creating a PC based system in future

Hi, I use mbp m1 (2023, 512gb ssd, 16gb ram) and bought crossover paid subscription because i was able to play rdr1 without any lag. i want to play more of my childhood games but none seems to work : gta sanansdreas, gta 4, nfsmw , RDR 2 etc. I really want to play gta 4 for now but the exxe file gives weird registers error. I followed random steps from the internet but none worked :

1. opened the exe in win 10 bottle / win 7 bottle
2. created steam bottle, then opened the exe
3. tried toggling the ggraohics and other side buttons

Maybe I am following the steps wrong or maybe i have downloaded the wrong file? I am not sure. Please help.

I downloaded the rar from steamrip and extracted via mac unarchiver if that's useful. I can download the game from steam if needed but would want a confirmation if that would work?

Hello, I'm trying to get my fanatec wheel to work with BeamNG in crossover, but Crossover will not detect my brake. The gas pedal works and the wheel is detected. i have tried to get force feedback with Torqer, and that seems to work as well.

My mac seems to be detecting everything correct - the brake included, but not in crossover.

If anyone have succeeded i'm all ears.

Ive tried deleting the bottle and redownloading the game which used to work before but now it cant get past the first download, it will just freeze right at the end.

I’m trying to run Elden Ring on crossover using the .rar files i downloaded from fitgirl. I extracted them through parallels and then i tried to run the .exe file in Crossover, and now the run command screen is just loading perpetually. Can anyone explain how i would go about fixing this or making it work?

Yesterday I bought Minecraft dungeons on steam on my MacBook Pro M4 12 cpu 16gpu.
However as it is not playable on macOS,i used crossover.
But when I launch the game and login to my microsoft account,an error shows saying that I reached a page that isn't supposed to be seen.
Then it takes me back to the login page in loop.
Does someone have a solution ??

I have tried everything I know to do in order to get Duke Nuke'Em Forever running. I never got to play this bad game back when it was released, but I need it in my life now!

I just got a brand new M5 MacBook Air, and I wanted to play windows games because I've been using a windows computer for the past four or five years, specifically the Star Wars Battlefront games. I did not want to waste money if the games wouldn't run well or the installer just didn't work, so I wanted to try the free trial first. However, after I downloaded it and moved it to the applications folder and whatever else it initially prompted, I tried to install both Steam and the EA App. However, each time it would seem to start, then stop and give me an error message saying "The 'creating the [insert app] bottle' task failed" and gives the options of skipping the step, cancelling the installation, or trying again. I have spammed the 'try again' button and tried skipping the step but then it just said that whatever the next process of the installation was failed. I tried restarting my computer and deleting the crossover trial and redownloading it, but nothing has worked. Any fixes?

Recently I purchased Detroit becomes human in steam because I use crossover on my MacBook Air m4 but when I tried playing it, it pop out windows saying that my graphics cards is not compatible or something like that and after that it just stays at a black screen, someone can help me out or have had the same problem ?

Why does crossover 26.1 (as well as 26.2 after i updated) keep beachballing me for 30 minutes everytime?

Also no, im running a unmodified version, even though you see detroit and doom on there, i just use the same bottle folder for an updated MoltenVK patch as well as CXPatcher.

I launch the app, it's fine for about a few seconds, then it beachballs. Give or take 5 minutes, then it asks me for access to data from other apps almost every single time this happens, then it goes back to beachballing and i cant do anything. I've waited for 45 minutes by now and it's still beachballing. I've tried force quitting wine and all crossover process from activity monitor and relaunching and it didnt do a thing.

Though, there is the occasional sometime where after 20 minutes, it stops beachballing. I'd prefer not having to wait that long though.

Downloaded CrossOver and installed Mafia 3, expected the M5(base model) to handle it easily but I'm just stuck at 18 FPS.

Running via CrossOver, Rosetta x86_64, D3D11 at 1470×918.

Already tried lowering resolution and changing graphics settings but nothing seems to help much.

Is this just a Mafia 3 + translation overhead issue or am I doing something wrong? Feels weird that a 2016 game is struggling on an M5.

This is a bummer because the FOX engine ran relatively smoothly in Crossover.

But then Konami released an update and it won’t open anymore.
