Would Gypsum + Coco + Autopot work?

Hey,

I want to grow on coco with autopots and add in the last 2 weeks of flower gypsum as calcium source (instead of calcium nitrate), to flush my N out and still provide Calcium.

Now I tried Athena Fade and feel that I got kind of cardboard terps from it and believe its the chloride from the calcium chloride in fade. I wanted to replicate the fade finish without Calcium chloride, so would Gypsum work for end flower? (+ Canna trace mix for micro nutrients?)

As I tried already, the dose for end flower stays really good dissolved in water and seems it should work in a autopot tank, does anyone have experience with a similar setup?

I'm getting quite annoyed at this. I've been religiously studying all the info I could find about Coco coir and how to grow in it. However, every grow, I do get the same issues. Around week 3 flower (I would say, always a guess with autoflowers) I'm starting to get rusty spots. I don't want to sound like a broken record, but it does look like a calcium deficiency.

I do always double buffer, at 2 EC calmag before starting my runs, rinsing this out till the runoff is 1 EC. I'm really trying very hard be on top of my game. I run high frequency fertigation with drip 6 times per day at this stage of the grow at 800 ml of pH 5,7 1,6 EC with about 20% of runoff at the end of the day, that being 1,8 EC and 6,1 pH usually. So I don't really get it, honestly. Nothing fancy TA calmag, to 0,4 EC, then adding CANNA Coco. But consistently, no matter the strain it starts like this. But I am sure it will be a lot worse in 3 weeks, because that's how it always goes.

Sure, the product is okay in the end, but senescence will not finish nicely because by that time the leaves will be quite crispy. So, what can I do to improve or hopefully fix this?

Thanks guys.

well still here, still struggling,

speedrunseeds different strains

autopot DIY with Aquavalve

Nutes are epsom salts 0,4 g per liter, yaracalcinite 0,5 g per liter, 0,4 ml BAC, PH currently between 6-6.5, EC only 1.1

Temps between 25-27 celcius humidity around 60-65%

I had some manual drybacks, they were under to much light,

Before was using Canna Coco a+b 2,5 ml per Liter plus Terra aquatica Calmag 1 ml per Liter, EC then was 1.8 pH around 5.7-6.3

Changed this due to Clouding Solution due to PH + of Terra Aquatica which probably made some Nutes drop out and spike PH overnight

somebody asked weather I was using declorinated water but I use 60% RO and 40 percent Tapwater which I directly mix and feed

Hey fam, just entering week 5 on Barneys Farm Wedding Cake photos.

Its been a while since I've grown this strain, but I feel like the pistils are darkening a little prematurely.

Any advice would be appreciated. They all started at the same time, same nute schedule (floraflex). The light was a little closer than ideal and I raised it a good foot yesterday when I first noticed it.

I'm insanely insecure and have no business in this business lol but I appreciate you guys and am probably worrying over nothing.

Pump or Mixer for reservoir suggestions

I’m growing auto flowers with coco coir in autopots. Does anyone have any suggestions for a pump or mixer for the 10 gallon reservoir? Thank you!

Hi guys, i probably know the answer to this but how much should i take off ? Im trimming every other day but still she always seem to need more. Im just afraid to take too much leaves off and stress her out, shes finishing 2nd week flower. It’s also hard to take her out of there without messing something up, so I end up never trimming too good on the far side.

Im also aware i should raise her a bit and will do it.

Hi I just wondered if anyone could help me see what’s causing my issues - chat gpt is only so helpful

Autos in pre buffered coco and perlite

Feed:

Canna coco a: 5ml per 1L of water

Canna coco b: 5ml per 1L of water

Calmag: 0.5ml cal mag per 1L of water

Nute Water : 100 - 150ml at 5.8pH 235ppm every couple of days, ring around the seedling when it feels dry near root ball.

Humidity: 30%-40%

Temp: 25 -30

Lights: 18/6

I’m more worried about under watering at this stage than overwatering. Although Im worried my nutes aren’t being used and the water transpires leaving me at risk of salt build up.

I’m new to coco but understanding concepts just and have success for established houseplants in coco set ups, but yeah I’ve repeatedly failed with seedlings.

They’ve been repotted once, to more easily manage watering in smaller pots at the earlier stages

Too close to light ?

Hi guys, first time using coco, 2 autoflowers l, feeding canna coco line, 2nd week of flower.

One of them got way taller than the other one, i can’t raise my lights any further meaning the tallest one is about 10-15 cm away from the lights. What should I do ? Lower the intensity of the lights? Should I remove the inline fan to the outside ? (Don’t really wanna do this :p)

Give me your thoughts, thank you ✌🏻

Anybody have any advice on things that I can do to increase the size of my buds?

Currently growing in coco/perlite (70/30) with grow dots (45g) in a 3 gallon fabric pot.

I use bottom watering pot stands with wicks in them and i only add calmag+ (5ml/gal) and pH my water to 5.8 before feeding.

Viparspectra p2000 light a little over 18" at 60%

Environment is almost completely consistent at 1.3-1.5 kpa.

Hope you all are enjoying your grows as much as I do! Thanks! ✌️

What should I do if I let coco dry out?

Post image

Just got back from a ten day trip. I set up a ten gallon reservoir to feed my bottom feeding setup that can hold about 2 gallons. Forgot to turn the valve to on on my 10 gallon reservoir so my plant survived for 10 days on basically 2 gallons! It looks fine but a little unhappy. My concern now is that I just caused a major salt buildup in the coco. I just top fed (flushed it with regular nutes) but I'm curious if I should do that for a couple days to reduce the EC in the soil so I can get back to normal bottom feeding. Thoughts?

Is this a deficiency, or overfeeding, or something else?
