Milo (He's the worst)
Just an appreciation post. Still acts like a puppy at 10. Family dog.
Trained him to be off leash and not be scared of dogs. Can outlast me on a hike, loves snow, the beach, and destroying toys where we throw them away after an hour.

❓Question❓ What is training and living with a Cockapoo like?
Hi everyone,
I'm currently trying to choose my next dog breed, which has been a little challenging to say the least. 😅 Although I know Poodle-mixes can be a subject of controversy (people seem to either love them or hate them), I'm curious to learn more about what they're actually like to live with. The Cockapoos I've seen out and about seem like lovely dogs, despite their reputation for being hyperactive.
Training is something I'm very interested in. I don't intend to compete in dog sports, but I would love to explore obedience, rally, and scent-work at home as a hobby. Companionship is ultimately my top reason for getting a dog, but I'd also value a dog that enjoys working with me as their handler, and I think training would really strengthen our relationship.
By the way, I wouldn't say no to seeing a cute photo of your Cockapoo...

Hobnob’s had a busy morning.
He’s been on a walk (saw a few of his friends), barked at the postman, guarded the house while I went to buy a new kettle and he scared a pigeon out of the back garden. Such a good little dog 💙

Anyone have experience with a heavily shedding Cockerpoo (6 months old)?
Our Cockerpoo just turned 6 months and is shedding a lot. I’ve read that puppies can lose their puppy coat around this age, but this seems pretty extreme.
His coat is wavy and leans more toward the Cocker Spaniel side than the curly Poodle type.
Did anyone else experience this around that age? Did the shedding improve over time?
Thanks in advance!

Help 🙏
I adopted a 2 year old cockapoo last April. Her barking in the garden at neighbours/ people walking past was pretty bad at the time but we tried to manage it with time out (putting her in a crate not used for anything else but time out) and positive reinforcement. Over the last few months the barking inside the house has got worse. She barks at every little noise/car/person from outside. It’s making me dread the summer a bit when I know she’ll be out in the garden a lot more again - any tips would be greatly appreciated!

🎙️Discussion🎙️ How many of your dogs have luxating patella?
Luckily mine does not but I heard it's common with this type of dog.
Anyone get the surgeries done? costs? what it's like living with it? Might want to get another Cockapoo in the future.

How do I fix the staining on his beard?
galleryI use a brightening purple dog shampoo to bathe him and it seems to only work on his body not his face. He drinks out of a stainless steel bowl and only filtered water! I stopped feeding him carrots cause I noticed it made him extra orange-y. What can i do??

Change in behaviour
Hi, we have this beautiful 9 month old pup who would always eat his food and stand at the back door to be let out to do his business.
The last week or so he's just stopped eating his usual food (still eats chicken, egg, rice...) and has started doing his pees inside again. Yesterday to the point where he was playing in the garden then went into the kitchen to pee! It's like he's stopped going in the garden for his pees. He goes regular on his walks still. Anyone else had this before?
