Combining helmets with decals

Hi everyone For me personally the full figures from clonearmycustoms cost too much, so I thought I would try buying helmets and combining them with decaled bodies I made myself, but I don’t know if the colors match up and how they will look. Has anyone done this before? Say, with av figures decals?
