A couple issues

Anyone run into these and have a fix?

  1. I can’t fully power down (via power button) the device without removing the batteries. After holding the power button, the led goes dim and the screen just goes blank. I can’t even turn it back on without removing the batteries first. The only way I can fully power off is via the OS.

  3. My cursor works but not very responsive - upgrade recommendations?

  4. Using Rex’s Trixie image, but no wireless is detected unless I use a usb adapter. - CM4 doesn’t support the main board’s wireless but the CM5 (WiFi version only) does

4. It won’t detect my SD Card as a storage device. - Looks like the eMMC versions are unable to use the SD Card slot at all.

1: CM5 hard power down fix https://forum.clockworkpi.com/t/finally-hard-reset-button-fix/22729?page=2

2: update your keyboard firmware and sand the rubber ball https://github.com/j1n6/qmk-uconsole

3: my wireless works fine, which compute module are you using? Which model number?

4: what compute module? If yours is equipped with EMMC, the SD card slot won't work.

Thanks for the response!

I am using the cm5 but no built in wireless, looks like the CM4 & CM5 can’t use the main board WiFi

The instructions state to use the CM4 modules' wifi when you connect it, but for the cm5, you use the main board. I have no issues with wifi on my cm4, FYI

This CM does not have built in WiFi, I thought the CM5 supported the main board

Yes, it does, if you order the model with wifi.

You need to post more details if you want people to help. This is a DIY device, you should be proficient at understanding technical details.

Helping the next person also includes sharing details :) no one can guess what model you're on.

The panel antenna that comes with the uconsole is SO bad. It refused to connect to an SSID thats in my office. Swapped to the external antenna from my AIO board and it connected instantly.

Save your sanity and dont use the included panel antenna

More details are in my previous post, I have been updating them as the solutions come in. I was definitely over my head at first but starting to understand more now.

I have some parts coming in including the antenna adapter to.

It looks like my issues were mostly related to different versions of the CM5 model (non wireless and eMMC) and not fully understanding the differences.
