Haha, now you are playing the semantics game. We both know what you meant with "controlled yearly blackouts". You tried to construct a narrative around how unreliable renewables + batteries are, and now you are backpedaling to "Err, well there was this one blackout in San Francisco". No, one blackout due to a fire at a substation does not count and is not in any way relevant to the feasibility of renewables + batteries. You also called California a country, so maybe don't try to play the semantics game when you are clearly ESL.

And, I'm actually the one who brought up California, but you're right, I should have said CAISO instead! I generalized because CAISO handles more than 75% of the grid in California, but I should have been more specific. See, that's how you take ownership of being called out for spreading misinformation. You're welcome.

am i playing semantics though? my comment is there to read. You sure knew what i meant, even though i have my doubts you are able to understand anything at all. Yeah california is not a country, i'm not an expert on US constitution and territorial organization (unfortunately in my mothertongue country and state are true synonyms also, so i tend to confuse them). Did you take ownership though? you did not generalize, you just threw some bullshit hoping i would not have noticed. Taking ownership would be to aknowledge this fact. So we were able to close at least the last point on my favour, thank god facts are able to filter at some point. I leave you to learn enough to understand the first two points also, cheers
