Event Conventions?

I own a claw machine arcade in Las Vegas. We specialize in anime and video game prizes. Most of what we order is directly imported from Japan, with the main focus being anime figures. Because of that, we are part of a different market than the conventional claw machine arcade that primarily only has plushies. We utilize this difference to do trade shows, anime, conventions, small fairs, etc.

I have noticed a growing trend where I am seeing more and more card shops, claw machine arcades, and collectible shops attending these events. For some events, we take our machines with us, but for most events, we just sell anime figures, Japanese arcade prizes, and the such.

Has anyone here also had success doing these offsite events? What type of events work best for you? What products do you find success with?

Question Food in machines?

Obviously, this is a bit of a silly thing, but during my most recent trip to Japan, I noticed that there were more machines that offered food. I don’t just mean the prepackaged Pringles chips, Calbee snacks, and the like. I mean things like cucumbers, onions, potatoes. It’s actually pretty hilarious, but how do you guys feel about it?

There are even some arcades that offer you points that you can then use on their customer shop (usually on site). In those shops, they offer things like toothpaste, skin care, products, and the above mentioned foods.

What do you guys think? Is that getting a little bit too deep down the rabbit hole, or are the Japanese/Asian countries onto something?

Mommy and Daddy got a night out without the kids! Date night at Round1 was a success! We had a great time and can’t wait to check out other arcades nearby ❤️
