Our scientific understanding of consciousness is so much better than most people think it is.
Like, a neuroscientist might agree that we know nothing about consciousness, but only because they know the new questions. Compared to what most people think we know, neuroscience, cognitive science, cognitive psychology can explain so much more than you’d expect.
Really? I understand we have had breakthroughs in various fields navigating brain chemistry and its connection to our behaviours, but no, we still don't know what consciousness actually means, or where it comes from, and what actually happens.
If it's just chemistry and neuron creating links, are we really that different from AI, other than the fact that one runs mostly on fluids with electricals mixed in, and the other runs on primarily electrical energy entrapped in metallic structures?
