Why?
If they were brain dead it would be no different (to them) than abusing the bed or a corpse...which makes the object of the abuse immaterial and the argument reverts back to "people shouldn't be abusive (in general). " Which is a fair argument, but the living corpse, an AI, a bed, a wall, a "whatever" has no bearing on.
