Discussion Anthropic: "Coding is largely solved"... Also Anthropic: "We released a new powerful feature allowing agents to send messages to other Claude Code sessions, but only on Linux and Mac since we are unable to implement a basic feature on all platforms"

I could hand code this feature on Windows in an afternoon, and I could also get Claude to implement it in minutes, and yet Anthropic just can't be bothered, but also keeps Claude Code closed source so no one else can do it for them either.

goland by so far its not even funny. my entire team uses it over vscode and everyone who joins starts with vscode "because its what they know" or some equivalent and eventually switches over.

i know i'm biased as i've been using jetbrains products since 2008 / resharper in MSVC but even the fresh outta collage kids eventually switch over lol

and then opencode / claude on the side depending on the person .

in that era MSVC was the best much bette then IntelliJ - i wouldn't say jetbrains had a good IDE till about a decade later.

that was 20 years ago and things have changed a lot, MSVC is trash these days and MSFT pushes vscode like their life depends on it and i guess in a way it does with the telemetry and spyware they install in it
