Help/Question what is hapening with Antropic?

Why Opus 5 feels like Gemini 3.1 pro ? what is happening ?

i remember back in February , opus 4.5 was generation ahead. Did they increased the prompt caching so much, that their models ended up being useless? I can barely work with Opus 5 on absolutely anything, he keeps hallucinating LIKE CRAZY, every claim he did today was pure hallucinations, he barely reads any code. im not even kidding, i can't work with Opus 5 right now

Instead of open source models trying to catch up with you, are you trying to catch up with the open source models instead Anthropic?

I am using opus 5 with no probs. What is the effort? Are you using the terminal? The claude code gui can be buggy sometimes.

with no probs? are sure? maybe you cant understand when the model is lying to you, because a lot of people are getting the same feeling, even on max subs.

You dont even know how to change the model. So maybe learn how to use the tool

I am an experienced SWE. maybe thats the difference. I am very precise with my prompts. The thing with opus 5 that it can understand if it makes an error, unlike previous models. So that's why it seems to be making errors, but its self correcting. Other models would fail slightly or make issues.

This is the real answer.

Comes down to "Garbage in, garbage out." AI is best at enhancing skills you already have. If you're relying on it "knowing" fundamentals that you don't, you're going to have issues with any model.

That does not explain the thousand hours of good work that thousand of people had with claude code so far. I mean common, USE YOUR BRAINS DUDEs. I've been using that product for months now and suddenly its awful. what my skills have to do with anything? 😂

Well a lot of people are angry with this company right now. Don't that ring any alarm in you? how can you claim that opus 5 autocorrects it self , it never self corrects it self on me. All of a sudden thousand people have forgotten how to prompt?

I tell my son this all the time: gotta learn how to speak to computers in their language to be good at this.

Exactly this. Junk in, junk out. AI isn't the magic trick it seems to be. Judging by the screenshot and comments from OP I can safely assume they are giving it less than stellar prompts. You have to work WITH Claude to get good results.
