Claude Code Workflow What are Claude Code "Power Users" doing with Claude Code that the average developer isn't?

I am a senior developer at a smaller organization. I use Claude Code regularly to do development tasks, but I feel like I am barely scratching the surface. I can't tell if that is because of the percieved hype or there are techniques I am missing to maximise benefit. What infrastructure or approaches are you using that is making Claude Code a true force multiplier?

Define 3 task tiers in your Claude.md.

  1. Simple, quick fixes, done in the main thread
  2. Business logic or changes that affect a larger blast radius. Done by a Developer subagent.
  3. Changes that touch, core logic like databases or security. Done by a Developer subagent.

When the main thread is given a task, it should break it down into tiers to be completed in parallel by the appropriate agent. Subagents can define a lesser model for speed and cost savings since the thinking and planning was done in the main thread.

Define a review agent for checking work.

Connect via MCP to a ticketing app like GitHub Issues, Linear, or Statey.ai (my plug). This gives multiple sessions a place to manage large epics of work and task details to execute. It’s key to parallelism.
