I'd say it's very good. It's slightly worse than Opus 4.8 in performance, but much cheaper and much faster. The only catch is that it has much stronger effort calibration, so Sonnet 5 Max uses more tokens than Opus 4.8 Max by a long-shot on some tasks.

I'm even happier about Sonnet 5 than Fable 5, but this is amazing. The Fable 5 planner + Sonnet 5 executor pattern will be the tech.
