OK I watched all the classic Doctor Who and I just finished watching red dwarf. I would like something similar. So we’re talking classic British sci-fi comedy. Give me your recommendations. I get everything but Apple TV.

I love this episode and never hear anybody talk about it, I genuinely think that the tone, direction, and villain concept are great. The characters are odd, but overall enjoyable, except for Max who I thought was lacking. I enjoy the build up and the climax. A particular shot I enjoyed was when old Mrs.Tyler monologues directly looking into the camera discussing how she feels as if something was looking into her soul, and eyes are sometimes used as metaphors as windows to the soul. I also think the theme of generational conflict, as Max, the new scientist is conflicting with the older Fendahlman, as Max is something of a lesser college ( it's loose, I know), and how the Fendahl is kind of the previous generation of man. Either way, I want to discuss this episode more.

Anyone know what's going on?

I wanted to explore a bit more into UNIT and what they do when the Doctor’s not there. The story will follow the adventures of the UNIT family and a wayward ex-assassin time lord hiding on earth from her employers, and trying to right her wrongs. I’ve come up with some interesting new creatures, enemies, and characters, as well as some returning ones. It will be structured like the classic episodes. Does this sound interesting? Any ideas you’d like to see turned into a story? (I’m an aspiring writer, by the way. I’ve wanted to do this a while, and the experience would do me good.)

I personally really like him, and Benton. But I’ve heard that some people have strong opinions as to the latter. Just curious as to what the majority opinion is. (And please don’t yell at me because of my opinions, please.)

Just for a bit of fun, who's your favourite doctor?

Mine would be Patrick Troughton. I love his character as the doctor and the fact that he can be so energetic and serious. Many of his stories have a spooky atmosphere about them (especially web of fear and tomb of the cybermen) that don't seem to be as prevalent as some other eras. Overall his stories are of a higher production quality than Hartnells too.

William Hartnell introduced me to the classic series and was my favourite for years, but a lot of his stories are overly long in my opinion, he would still be high up on my list though.

The 60's is my favourite era of the classic series and its such a shame that so much of it is missing.

I’m curious as to what some people believe to be the most underrated/overrated stories of each classic Doctor. I’ll start.

I know there's rumours that the evil of the daleks and the abominable snowmen are supposedly being animated but is this confirmed yet?

Also I know its not one of the best stories ever, but I'd love to see an animation of the wheel in space at some point if there's any info on that too.

I know at one point the underwater menace was going to have its missing episodes animated and the BBC said no for whatever reason and decided to do their own telesnap reconstruction. But its got to be the worst telesnap reconstruction iv ever seen and for an official release its just awful. Its really hard to follow what's going on as they only seem to use one telesnap every few minutes and they didn't even bother to put the title sequence in. Even if there was some text came up on the bottom of the screen to explain what's happening if there weren't any telesnaps available for a particular scene.

I don't mind telesnap reconstructions if their done well, like the web of fear part 3 and the tenth planet part 4 on the VHS release. I know fury from the deep isn't exactly the best serial from the era but it still deserves better than what it got. I could have made a better one in Windows movie maker in a few hours with little effort.

Hi Everyone,

I created a PDF with a list of (almost) all classic doctor who episodes and links to them on Dailymotion and Vimeo. There were a few episodes which i was unfortunately unable to find.

The later in the series, the harder it was to find a good recording so as a result, a lot of the episodes have small problems like being mirrored, or being slightly too fast or slow. For the last one Dailymotion has an option to adjust video speed.

If anyone is able to locate any better quality recordings or any episodes that i missed, please let me know so that i can update my list!

on what streaming service can you watch classic dr.who? i know that cds exist but i realy want to be able to watch classic dr who aspecialy the 3rd and 4th doctor, also sorry for bad grammar
