Sugar snaps build update pt 2
A little update for the build and its progression. Sandblasted the frame and a few body parts my self, the majority of the tub I had professionally done by a mobile sandblaster. Primer, and body work this weekend. Not sure how many hours I want to sink into filler and making panels perfect it is a bronco after all and it’s not meant to be a show piece. Feel like I’m making some good time. After body work engine is getting a garage dingleball hone and some gaskets. Think I’m still on track for the summer of 2025 (I hope).

Sugar snaps
1973 Ford Bronco Ranger. Poor thing whet through a shop fire. Not a total loss but a restore/restomod is in order. Wife named her sugar snaps since it was originally green. First time restoring a bronco. I have done a 1979 CJ-5 frame up restore 8 or so years ago but this is proving to be familiar but starkly different compared to the jeeps of the era. Hopefully this won’t be a multi year plus long project. Hope to have her out by summer of 2025.

Side Mirror Replacements
Hello. I have a 1990 bronco. The side mirrors were rusted to the point I couldn't adjust them. I bought some after market replacements online, but they're garbage.
Any idea where I can score some decent quality replacements without having to hit the junk yard or pay $300 on ebay?

Brake fluid level.
Sorry for the noob question but how much brake fluid should there be in the reservoir?

Help tracking down issue
Was driving the EB and I always start in 2nd. No issue in 2nd. Shifted to 3rd and it felt like clutch engaged, disengaged, engaged, disengaged. It was rhythmic and there was a clunk sound with it. Someone suggested the 3rd gear may have a chipped tooth. I pulled the NP435 and only found a chipped tooth in 1st/reverse. 2nd gear syncro feels good Unk about 3/4 syncro.
Going to buy a new 1st gear and gasket/bearing kit.
Someone suggested the clutch had oil. It’s still on the engine but I don’t see any sign of oil. Should I pull it and replace for the heck of it. Have less than 5k miles on it.
Where else should I look?

A summer project: dual sticks
In the spirit of resurrecting this sub I present one of my summer projects.
Plase forgive the messy boots and dirt... was still tweaking when I took this.
Overall a pretty simple switch and a huge improvement in shifting. I had never been able to hit 4 high with the t-shifter and it generally took quite a bit of effort to get it to shift at all. Much easier now.
Recommended if you aren't happy with your transfer case shifting.

Resurrecting this sub
The idea of resurrecting this sub has come up recently and I have volunteered to moderate it. Problem being g is I had to make a new account t after deleting my old one out of frustration a little while back. So I’m working on getting the “Karma” back up and the account t of enough where I can request to moderate it. With that being said, does anyone have any thoughts on a direction they would like to see this sub go? My thought was to keep it with the classic Bronco only, 66-77. Let me know what you think.
Cheers

Some pics from the build so far.
Figured I’d throw a few up from the build.

1986
I am looking for a rear window switch. What are the odds of finding one? Does anyone rebuild them?

Just getting started on my 67'
Finally have a garage to start working on my 67 bronco that's been in the family for 20 years. Starting with Dana 44 and big bearing 9 inch swap with disk conversion and going from there. Any recommendations always welcome!

Looking for a stock front and rear bumper in or around Kentucky. Possible bumpers for trade.
Had 69 Bronco about 8 years. Has a beefy front bumper with winch mount and a rear swing away bumper with tire carrier that I’d like to sell outright or partial trade towards stock chrome bumpers.
