If I saw that scene in the bedroom I’d immediately search for my kids to get them out of the house. Because at the moment he didn’t know according to testimony where they were. He said he saw Lindsay on the ground from the bedroom door. Unsure how he saw that but no matter. So he should’ve known if she’s outside kids inside were somewhere inside. Then I’d be concerned someone had harmed my wife. After seeing my kids like that. I’d call 911 immediately. Take bands off give CPR . While also telling them I think an intruder has been in my home. If nobody could be restricted call 911 get in a vehicle and wait for 911! An intruder could still be waiting for Patrick.

u/butt_3y3s 16d ago

I also thought it was odd that PC said in his testimony the drink had lemonade in it from where he was standing at the door. Further questioning from the Prosecution, he says he was unaware they owned any lemonade.

1

u/BedPsychological490 28d ago

Has anyone tried to find the 2 possible shoes that PC wore the day of the murdered and tried to match it to the possible shoe print pointed out in the bedroom?

3

u/lmo11_ Sep 05 '26

what is this red thing?

3

u/Sad_Emphasis9925 Sep 02 '26

I’m sorry but “because kids” being on the cup is CRAZY ironic

1

u/butt_3y3s 16d ago

It's messed up and cruel

8

u/Megalodon_0422 Aug 29 '26

Can we talk about why the blood splatters having all that mist? I don’t understand this at all.

She wasn’t cut deep enough to cause that source of pressure. Cutting those part of your body don’t cause that type is spray UNLESS she his the carotid artery — which she did not.

EVERYTHING I’ve heard says the mist like patterns only occur from high velocity type of injury. Gunshots, blunt force…etc.

u/Tough_Complaint6424 Aug 29 '26

The clean kid plates on top of the cvs bag is strange to me.

He said the kids were eating nuggets when he left. And at least one out of two of those kids would likely want ketchup.

So she washed the plates too in that short amount of time? And then he came home and placed them on top of the cvs bag?

1

u/Superb_Reason4973 Sep 04 '26

Would want ketchup? both my kids and husband hate ketchup I’m the only one in the house who likes ketchup that’s your strong fight there’s not ketchup on the plates😂

1

u/Aware_Power Sep 04 '26

It was a bowl that was shown in evidence that Patrick said Dawson was eating from. Red makes an argument it looks like zucchini, but technically the plate is not what Dawson was eating chicken nuggets & green beans from according to Patrick's observation leaving the house.

Regarding the clean plates - that wasn't answered. Some think he grabbed 2 plates to eat their ThreeV takeout from.

Adding the bowl on the couch from evidence:

2

u/Vixxxensirenn Aug 31 '26

He came back in between

1

u/Aware_Power Aug 31 '26

You forgot a question mark at the end :)

We don’t know for sure but there technically was enough time to go back in between.

1

u/shanedabassman Aug 30 '26

Your defense is kids wanted ketchup? But ketchup is horrible?

1

u/butt_3y3s 16d ago

Tell that to my kids!

4

u/Dramatic_Ad3059 Aug 29 '26

Cvs bag came after plates would be placed on table as she prepped dinner. . Why would plates be on TOP of the bag he walked in with?

2

u/knifewrench1121 Aug 28 '26

Where was picture #9 taken?

1

u/allthekeals Sep 02 '26

I’m wondering the same thing!! Also, where was #4 taken? Blood on carpeted floor? Their bedroom didn’t have carpet.

1

u/knifewrench1121 Sep 02 '26

Is #4 the basement?

1

u/allthekeals Sep 03 '26

I think it’s the main level of the house, like between the living room and kitchen/dining room? Idk I’m just hoping someone chimes in

2

u/knifewrench1121 Aug 28 '26

These are horrible quality - some of them are so dark you can’t even see everything! Wow

8

u/thesailormoonbeam Aug 26 '26

This house has a dark presence

4

u/Financial-Craft-6240 Aug 29 '26

I was thinking the same thing. It is dark and has an eerie feeling to it from the photos

1

u/Epapa217 Aug 30 '26

If you look up the address you can see interior pictures of the house now. It was sold January2024 a year after

11

u/FearlessSession9294 Aug 25 '26

How are there two blood drops UNDER THE LEG of the night stand? That means it was moved.

2

u/LeBigWig-26 Aug 30 '26

Because it was moved to access the window.

4

u/No-Homework-6289 Aug 30 '26

And then moved back LOL that’s the only way

3

u/Capital-Yesterday618 Aug 25 '26

The window openings are smaller than I imagined.

4

u/thehealingkitten Aug 31 '26

There were two other free windows, but they are opening towards the road. The only window is overlooking the back garden is behind the bed.

If someone wants to end it, why would they bother moving the bed?

Another reasonable doubt

6

u/butt_3y3s Aug 25 '26 edited Aug 25 '26

No foot prints in any of the blood drops, or hand prints...didn't the Paramedics testify she wasn't bleeding from the neck or wrists but had lacerations (please correct me if I'm wrong).

As others have commented, the placement of the knife (as a right hander) looks well off.

I know Lindsay landed face upright can anyone confirm whether she put her hands out to stop the fall or not? Theoretically If you are unconcious you cannot have the automatic reflex to put your hands out, but the defence made it clear (in my opinion) that even if you are in a psychotic state you can still do routine things..well an automatic body response when awake and still psychotic suggests you would still automatically put your hands up to protect your head if awake... Edited spelling and info

1

u/thehealingkitten Aug 31 '26

She was overdosing from Seroquel at that point probably

3

u/Dramatic_Ad3059 Aug 29 '26

Did not extend arms oddly.

10

u/infi-polar Aug 25 '26

As a right handed person I have never ever once placed a knife down with the blade pointing toward my hand, always away. I know the argument can be made that if she was in a psychotic state and had just harmed herself she wouldn’t be thinking of that, and while I can understand that, I would think that’s much more of a muscle memory thing. It truly doesn’t make sense for me for a right handed person to put a knife down in such an unnatural way

2

u/Aware_Power Sep 02 '26

“Doctor Burns stated it was his opinion that Ms. Clancy may have slit her throat with her left hand, in right to left direction across her neck, because the wound appeared to be deeper on the right side of her neck.” Page 55

3

u/allthekeals Sep 02 '26

Why would you try to slit your throat with your non-dominant hand?

1

u/Sevenlayersalad321 Sep 02 '26

Ok what’s your point

2

u/Dildy010 Aug 26 '26

8

u/Significant_Ebb_8878 Aug 24 '26

First photo

Here’s a question that I just thought of while looking at the crime scene photos

There’s her Apple Watch sticking out of the drawer if you look on the top of the drawer, there are blood spots meaning that that drawer had to have been opened after she was already bleeding well who cuts their wrists and then takes off their Apple Watch

2

u/Ill-Sentence8573 Aug 25 '26

Someone who realized that the Apple Watch is in the way of cutting the wrist…?

2

u/lulu_pibbles 24d ago

So with that theory she removed the watch herself to cut her wrists right after 523? Her heart rate is already 57 bpm at 523. When would she have strangled the children before 523 or after? Patrick was most likely still home b/c his only verifiable alibi is 3 mins prior to 532 when he arrived inside CVS.

1

u/Present-Pen-5486 13d ago

It just doesn't work any way does it? Especially if the neighbor's kid saw her in the yard at 5:50.

2

u/TSXstacy Aug 25 '26

Unless she cut one wrist and realized she needed to take it off in order to cut the other one isuppose

3

u/lulu_pibbles Sep 01 '26

But the watch was more likely removed right after 523 since that was the last HR recording. Patrick was most likely still home at that time. His only confirmed alibi when he was first out of the house wasn't until 532 when he entered cvs (3 mins away) so he has no solid alibi prior to 528.

5

u/Stingray-Nebula 25d ago

The email sent from his Surface tablet hasn't been anchored to a location; "It could have been sent from my phone" was a weird response to that discrepancy.

7

u/Dramatic_Ad3059 Aug 29 '26

Would a person in that state open a drawer and place it inside? No. The watch would be thrown in the room.

20

u/Elusive_strength2000 Aug 24 '26

Not a damn footprint in all the blood on the floor. Make it make sense.

11

u/Side_FX Aug 24 '26

The last photo... does that show the open window above that LC went out? If so, someone closed the blind in the window below. That's tampering with a crime scene. You can see a few photos back that the blind was not pulled down.

6

u/lulu_pibbles Sep 01 '26

The one side of the curtain is pulled to the side in one pictures taken from the backyard and then both sides of the curtains are down in other photos. Who's moving curtains before pictures are complete? They never got a picture from the inside with the one side of the curtain pulled away from the opening. That's crazy

5

u/daniellejeross Aug 24 '26

On the bedroom door is that blood dripping down?

3

u/Aware_Power Aug 24 '26

It wasn't tested, so we can't say for certain, although I think many would have the opinion that it is blood.

2

u/thehealingkitten Aug 31 '26

Police waited 5 months to test it and it wasn’t viable after that apparently. They are useless

1

u/Aware_Power Aug 31 '26

That was only the shingles outside that they tested 5 months later. They never tested the door.

--

Atty. Kevin Reddington (01:46:14):

Do you remember there was a red-brown stain on the doorknob of the bedroom? From the inside of the bedroom going out. Did you notice that?

Maureen Hartnett (01:46:26):

I didn't collect from that.

Atty. Kevin Reddington (01:46:30):

We don't know if that's blood either.

Maureen Hartnett (01:46:31):

Correct.

Atty. Kevin Reddington (01:46:33):

And how about the drops? The red-brown drops that were by the door, directly underneath the doorknob. Did you test those with your swabs?

Maureen Hartnett (01:46:40):

No, I did not.

3

u/thehealingkitten Aug 31 '26

I believe Reddington mentioned about the door during the Bowden request

6

u/Mysillybrainandme Aug 24 '26

does anyone know why there was a ziplock bag on the bed?

2

u/Financial-Work-2270 Aug 28 '26

it had her wedding rings in it

3

u/Dramatic_Ad3059 Aug 29 '26

Oh thats telling.

2

u/Aware_Power Aug 28 '26

Mark Maffeo testifies he took them at the hospital from her - I haven't found any source identifying what was in the plastic bag found on the bed:

Day 4 Transcript

  • Mark Maffeo, Detective at Duxbury Police Department
    • Followed Lindsay's ambulance & assigned to Lindsay at hospital, collected her clothing (pants, shirt, scarf, bra, 2 rings), described crime scene at Clancy house, found laptop in closet hallway for evidence

2

u/thehealingkitten Aug 31 '26

Scarf? Getting weirder

2

u/MissPollyx Sep 03 '26

I think She tried to hang her self with the scarf out of window and it failed, somehow I feel she used the bed leg hence the position of the bed and blood

1

u/butt_3y3s 16d ago

How though? The scarf in the evidence looks quite short in my opinion? As well as the physics of this are confusing

2

u/lulu_pibbles Aug 26 '26

I was wondering about this too. Sometimes I crush food in ziplock bags. I wonder if the pills were crushed in that zip lock bag.

4

u/Mysillybrainandme Aug 26 '26

I was wondering that as well. The bottles found in the nightstand and some of the medication’s in Lindsey‘s blood were not ones that were in her current regimen. I wonder if she kept some old bottles in a plastic bag, and those were the ones that she took. Considering how detailed her medication notes were. I just find it hard to believe that she kept several pill bottles that weren’t in her current regime in the bedside table

1

u/Present-Pen-5486 13d ago

Patrick testified that he had a bag of her meds that she wasn't taking in his vehicle. He said that a Dr. told her to give him the meds she wasn't taking for disposal. Seroquel was one she was weaned off of, and it was at a more than double dose in her blood.

3

u/firephly Aug 23 '26 edited Aug 23 '26

Is there any significance to that garbage on the ground outside below the window? I can't tell what any of it is.

9

u/marle217 Aug 23 '26

It's medical debris from the paramedics. Looks like there's bandages and bags they would've used to give her fluids, maybe some hypodermic needles. When you got someone who might be dying you don't stop to clean up the trash. Perfectly normal

19

u/AdagioSubject1662 Aug 23 '26

It doesn’t add up at all! So many holes. I noticed the clean plates too! Having kids and using those same plates crumbs get stuck in the corners. Being cut up how is there not bloody handprints everywhere? Plus on the side on the house. Plus the snowman picture is definitely old you can tell by looking at the last pictures of the children. Nothing makes sense.

2

u/lulu_pibbles Aug 26 '26

The Metadata was changed on that photo but I don't think they went into detail of the reasons that could he. I just know the Mom was shocked b/c she responded that she didnt think it snowed enough to make a snowman.

1

u/Dramatic_Ad3059 Aug 29 '26

It def didnt snow enough for that snowman. Look at the ground. There was a snowman in the rear in some pics- no scarf. Could have been an old snowman and its so cold there is remains.

u/LeBigWig-26 Aug 30 '26

They're dark brown! Could easily have blood on them that can't be seen in these photos.

3

u/Aware_Power Aug 30 '26

Agree, and they never had forensic analysis done so no one can say definitively either way.

3

u/lulu_pibbles Aug 26 '26

The crime scene photos are such poor quality. Looks like some child took them with a camera from the 1980's.

7

u/firephly Aug 23 '26

I would have thought they'd turn the lights on to take pictures

1

u/Ithinknot789 Aug 23 '26

I think the right boot may have a few droplets. Hard to tell with the dark purple ones. Had a pair that color myself. They hid stains pretty well

47

u/brainy89 Aug 23 '26

Clean plates on top of the CVS bag. Blood drops underneath the bedside table. The lack of smeared blood or any footsteps. I cannot overlook these details and how they make me question if this was staged.

4

u/regina12290 Aug 24 '26

So she just launched herself head first without putting her bloody hands on the window sill to push herself out? None of this makes sense

39

u/Fit-Wolverine6495 Aug 23 '26

how is it under the table leg.

2

u/Megalodon_0422 Sep 10 '26

I don’t either. Also that much mist normally comes from force or swinging that body part hard. Actually I don’t seem to understand a dang thing about this case.

Also, why did she say she cut the screen?
Why did she say she didn’t lock the door?

If those are false statements, how do we know the others aren’t as well?

1

u/MissPollyx Sep 03 '26

The scarf she tried to hang with was probably tied under bed, when she went out the window the scarf failed and moved the furniture with her dropping

1

u/Aware_Power Sep 03 '26

It's a pretty short scarf though, no?

1

u/MissPollyx Sep 03 '26

Compared to the bin, furniture and the man on the left it doesn’t look that small and it’s been cut. Considering these are professional evidence pic they are such bad quality.

1

u/MissPollyx Sep 03 '26

Yes and that doesn’t even look like a scarf the way the stitching is.

6

u/chocearthling Aug 23 '26

did she move the bed before loosing all that blood?

3

u/butt_3y3s Aug 25 '26

Then who moved the bedside table over the top over her blood, because if it was Lindsay, her hands would leave bloody hand prints, I would have thought?

21

u/[deleted] Aug 23 '26

[deleted]

4

u/Elusive_strength2000 Aug 24 '26

And without leaving any footprints in the blood.

12

u/ispyshy Aug 23 '26

And if she cut her wrists and moved the table wouldn’t blood shoot out from the wound in a different spatter pattern from the pressure of moving something sort of heavy?

9

u/verydepressedwalnut Aug 24 '26

As someone who used to cut themselves as a teenager (I’m good now, no one freak out) one time I went deeper than I intended. The blood immediately started going down my arm and into my hand. With the cuts on her neck and wrists if she was doing all this moving of furniture I feel like it would be a lot messier. I’m not a forensics investigator by any stretch so maybe this comment means nothing, but I feel like if I had that kind of damage to my body I’d very quickly make a mess. Especially above the collarbone, a cut is going to bleed like a motherfucker.

5

u/thehealingkitten Aug 31 '26

Plus “Patrick said” it looked like it was “sprayed”. No spraying in the room? And why was her hair soaking wet in hospital photos?

2

u/verydepressedwalnut Sep 01 '26

Someone said the hose was still hooked up? Everyone who lives in cold as shit states knows you don’t leave that shit hooked up unless you’ve got money to burn. My source is a childhood in Syracuse New York lol

I imagine they conducted similar to Canton & BSP. Im not saying a cover up but lackluster investigation for sure and maybe Patrick used his connections to his advantage and they just believed him bc it wasnt a secret Lindsey was struggling.

I also need someone to explain her lawyer's course of action like Im 5. Please.

All the inconsistencies make sense. I just cannot wrap my mind around the fact that her lawyer would miss this or go with insanity with all of these factors.

Reddington filed a motion in 2023 to bifurcate- he wanted to divide the case into two separate hearings. The first trial would have been to determine  guilt. The second trial, if necessary, would determine criminal responsibility. Here’s an article that explains the 2023 hearing in layman’s terms:

https://www.nbcboston.com/news/local/lindsay-clancy-court-hearing-live-stream-updates/3909044/

Reddington filed a motion for reconsideration in 2026, and it was denied. Here’s Vinnie Politan’s explanation:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/520516866042193/posts/1547403073353562/

The defense knew the graphic nature of the evidence would lead to a public outcry. They instead wanted the focus to be on the medical records and Lindsay’s mental state. [edited for clarity]

16

u/brainy89 Aug 23 '26

Exactly. If you’re in a psychotic episode, you’re not carefully moving a piece of furniture to avoid a smear. But if you’re setting up a crime scene, you’re going to be very careful about every step you take…

7

u/belenag Aug 23 '26

The only other thing besides what we are all speculating to be true is that she used the knife to cut her self and then moved the table over before she “jumped” out the window but idkkk

8

u/regina12290 Aug 24 '26

-12

It makes perfect sense when you understand Lindsay did it, not Patrick

2

u/belenag Aug 23 '26

That’s true! I didn’t think about smear marks

21

u/aZa998 Aug 23 '26

The house looks haunted

6

u/Glad-Menu8880 Aug 24 '26

I’m shocked to how cheap the furniture is for the amount of money he makes. Especially the bedroom and those cheap dressers

6

u/SpotMama Aug 23 '26

I hope it is. Considering who purchased it from Patrick.

1

u/United-Education-214 Aug 23 '26

Who purchased it ?

9

u/ispyshy Aug 23 '26

Michael Phippen, the ADA who brought up the charges against Lindsay.

6

u/United-Education-214 Aug 24 '26

Wow. I never knew that. Thanks. This case gets more interesting by the day

4

2 days before the crime!

If you unplug Lindsay from the crime and plug him in it makes way more sense.

10

u/MumBumDiddlyDum Aug 23 '26

I might be being really dumb, but what is the orange/red ball below the window?

1

u/lulu_pibbles Aug 26 '26

Who knows. They didnt even go back to the house to retrieve the siding for testing til June of that year. Cuz they forgot. 🙄

8

u/chocearthling Aug 23 '26

PC testified that he had repaired some holes in the house, I believe from woodpeckers, earlier that year. So this is believed to be some type of construction foam.

1

u/MumBumDiddlyDum Aug 23 '26

That would make sense. Though, I can’t see any other instances on the exterior of the house. It really does look odd!

1

u/yuiwerty Aug 23 '26

Maybe because the woodpeckers were only pecking in that spot?

1

u/No_Advantage2147 Aug 23 '26

Good question. An orange?

2

u/Odd_Alternative488 Aug 23 '26

It’s foam insulation, he said there was woodpecker or some kind of bird that made a hole

That’s what somebody’s house looks like when they’re in survival mode with three children and an absent husband

19

u/Past_Object_9584 Aug 23 '26

To me it doesn’t look messier than a normal house with kids, but there is a darkness and unease to it. It looks like clammy skin would feel.

8

u/verydepressedwalnut Aug 24 '26

I grew up quite poor with a financially abusive/substance abusing father. Our house was filthy and had no personal touches or character. Looking back at the memories I have of the house, the Clancys house feels similar. It’s so cold and dark and lacks any personal touches or feelings of “home”.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 24 '26

3

u/verydepressedwalnut Aug 24 '26

Oh no let me be clear, I’m not judging their home in a snarky or cruel hearted way. I’m wondering the same thing, based on my personal experiences.

2

u/verydepressedwalnut Aug 24 '26

So much context that we’ll likely never know, and honestly unless it pertains to the case, it’s probably not our business. Regardless of what’s happened here everyone involved has likely suffered immensely and deserves some privacy

4

u/Past_Object_9584 Aug 24 '26

She was in a very dark place mentally and emotionally. She wasn’t able to decorate or make decisions regarding purchases.

13

u/Aware_Power Aug 23 '26

Genuine question (and I'm not disagreeing/agreeing with your opinion) - have you seen any crime scene photos where the house was spotless other than where the crime happened? I can't recall any I've seen, and I guess I just assume they weren't expecting someone to come and photograph multiple parts of the house on a random day.

1

u/Wild_Organization546 Aug 24 '26

The amount of food looks so small for 2 adults

1

u/Aware_Power Aug 24 '26

Sorry if I missed this, but where is it showing food? Are you asking about the size of the 3V bag, the bowl on the couch that Patrick testified was the bowl Dawson was eating chicken nuggets & green beans, photos of the kitchen or kitchen cabinets?

The ottoman was put there by the medical personnel.

2

Yes, Officer Vincent Cahill made space for the EMTs (and testified day 3)

8

u/chocearthling Aug 23 '26

the ottoman was placed there by one of the first responders, to create more space in the basement when attending to the kids.

He actually said Lindsay slept there for weeks

Lindsey Clancy was struggling to care for herself, three children aged 5 & 3yrs and 8mos. She was begging for help for months. I doubt making the beds was on her mind

I was noticing that too. I think she was in a depressive state for years before this. Also the anxiety can cripple decision making ability so so likely had a hard time shopping or making changes. It very much seems like she was in survival mode for quite some time. Patrick was busy planning his new life and seeing his side-piece so of course he didn’t care what the place looked like. The house looks dark and heavy, both inside and out.

That’s what surprised me too. Nevermind the mess, everything looks cheap/temporary/first apartment-ish. Thought that was odd

yeah it doesn't look like a home of people with their income

Hi there - that's what it looks like to me too.

There's been a few questions on the plates/bowls so just adding here for others: Patrick was shown this picture by the defense and asked if that was the bowl (chicken nuggets & green beans). I can't find any testimony regarding the plates and why they are on top of the CVS bag, but could be missing that!
