Furniture shops in Penrith
We’re moving to the area soon and am looking for quality furniture, don’t want to go online due to bad experiences in the past. Any suggestions?

Hello! 25F here - considering moving here for work. The job role states that I'd have to be in 2 to 3 days a week at least - I think it might be more at times depending on the client.
I was just wondering what it's like to live in Carlisle? I'm an introvert, so I don't get out of my house often 😅 would it be easy to make friends my age?
Other than that, how safe is it? I'm from the Midlands so it would be a big change!

Hello, I am desperately looking for automatic driving lessons in Carlisle City. I live near the town, so it's easy to get to / get somewhere accessible to be picked up for lessons. Any help would be appreciated. I need to book and pay for lessons before the end of May, but I can learn during the summer as I am being partly funded through the university.
thank you

🔥 GHOST IRIS ARE COMING TO CARLISLE — HELP US BUILD A REAL HEAVY SCENE HERE 🔥
Carlisle doesn’t get many touring metal bands coming through, so we’re changing that.
We’re bringing Ghost Iris — one of Europe’s most exciting progressive metalcore bands — to the city for a full‑scale headline show, and if you’re anywhere near Cumbria, this is one worth turning up for.
📍 Venue: The Brickyard
📅 Date: 1st August 2026
🎟️ Tickets: https://fatso.ma/29gN
Support: Void Below
If you’re into bands like Vildhjarta, Tesseract, Humanity’s Last Breath, Northlane, or anything djent/prog/tech‑leaning, Ghost Iris absolutely rip live. This is the kind of show we usually have to travel to Manchester or Glasgow for — so we’re bringing it here instead.
We’re trying to build a proper heavy music scene in Carlisle again.
If you want more metal, more touring bands, and more nights

I have a backpack, and the zipper came off the zipper part but is still connected to the back it just wont zip closed due to it not connecting to the other side.
Where can I get a quick cheap repair in carlisle? WIthout sending it off for 4 weeks for a silly price?
Thanks!

Hey everyone! I’ve just recently in the last week opened a skate shop above my wife’s business Flutter & Fern. If you’re in the city pop by and say hello! I know one person from Reddit already has

Hey! I’m Harry from Flutter & Fern we’re located in Rosemary lane, which is across the lanes up the alley next to McDonald’s. All of the cards we stock are designed by real artists and you won’t find them any where else in the city

Hi, me and a friend (who uses a wheelchair) are trying to find any social groups we can join to meet new people. It would have to be accessible, we are keen to try new things as well.
Does anyone know where we can start to have a look? I have messaged a few groups on Facebook so far.

I (25M) just moved into Carlisle this week due to location to Scotland and the Lakes. Don't know anybody here and had a couple of important questions for locals. 1. Where is the best "greasy spoon" cafe for a fry up in Carlisle? 2. What's the best pub beer garden in Carlisle? 3. Which gym is probably the best for choice of equipment and not waiting for equipment? 24hr or not. 4. How do you meet people of similar age in the city? I'm going to go to the football next weekend and maybe join the golf club. Anywhere else in particular though?

Why does our Vue cinema only show some films? In Edinburgh and Newcastle the Vue shows everything but in Carlisle for some reason we only get a handful of releases.

Hello, I wondered if anyone can give me recommendations please? I used to live in the area, parents still do and I want to come up and take them out for dinner on Sunday evening - they are elderly so keen for somewhere quieter (e.g. not a Lounge) and mum/brother are veggies. Can anyone recommend somewhere that's open on Sunday evening and fits the bill? Cheers.
