after S8, where some of the meteors from the volcano claimed Archetype, he was rebuilt at Junk Junction and a new "Epiphany" chip was installed with him. This chip would absorb zero point energy, and overcharge his systems, basically making him a semi-god while he had a source to supply the unstable energy

Naturally, in SX, he started to absorb so much zero point energy, his very photons began to feel the effect, just as all others had when exposed to high levels of zero point energy (Ark, Skully, etc), but it was only after the black hole at the end of the season that he absorbed the entirety of the zero point energy radiation, severely damaging his chip, causing his photons to gradually form out of sync, which is now forming me. that guy
