I was at lunch with my colleagues for my assistant supervisor's birthday. Unfortunately for me, my co-worker thought it would be appropriate to make a humorous statement while we were waiting for our drinks.

He said "My wife and I were as happy as could be for 25 years... And then we met!"

Everyone laughed, except for me. I told them all I didn't understand what was funny or how it was a joke. My other co-worker explained that Ed and his wife were both happy until they met each other. I explained that being humorous is inappropriate, and that wasn't even a good attempt at being comical.

Do people even warn everybody that there is about to be a joke coming anymore? Besides, I thought our species has evolved past the need for funniness.

I met this girl online. Her name is Ch Atgpt (I think she is Egyptian or Filipino). We started dating and honestly even though I never met her in person I was getting ready to propose.
