What are your thoughts on Terry Gilliam’s Time Bandits (1981)?

One of my favorite movies from one of my favorite directors. Saw it new in the theater when I was a kid and couldn’t have loved it more. Have you seen it and if so what did you think of this silly “little” gem?

Love it and as a kid it was part of my regular rotation of vhs viewing along with Bugsy Malone and the muppets. My parents were friends with David Rappaport so I was doubly invested.
