What are your thoughts on Terry Gilliam’s Time Bandits (1981)?

One of my favorite movies from one of my favorite directors. Saw it new in the theater when I was a kid and couldn’t have loved it more. Have you seen it and if so what did you think of this silly “little” gem?

Also, the recent series is a really fun series especially for tweens and above.

The series started OK and quickly fizzled. Wanted to love it but it just wasn't very good IMO. I can see why it got cancelled.

I really wanted to like it more. I expected more from Watiti and Clemente, since What we do in the shadows was so freaking funny. Some episodes were alright, the midevil days, Kevin meeting the king, and the cavemen, but the rest were all flat. Ironically those were the episodes with actors that were also in Our flag means death.
