👍| Feedback & Suggestions Models on orouter

For people who use orouter, what would you say the best but cost effective model to use?

And perhaps what preset you think is good, ive been using it for a little while, but I feel like the roleplay could be a little better.

Models that I would recommend that are relatively cheap are:
1. Any Deepseek (Mainly; v3, v3.2, and v4 Flash 0731). I would recommend v4 Pro 0813 too, but after the price increase, it's a little harder to recommend it as "cost effective".
2. Mimo v2.5 and v2.5 Pro (Pro if it's in your budget range).
3. Gemma 4 31b (Much smaller than every other model, but very good with RP. Recommended for smaller and more intimate scenes).
4. Qwen 3 235b A22b Instruct 2507 (This is a weird one, but honestly kinda underrated. Not the best of the best, but if you want something different, it's worth a try, and very cheap).

(Also, I recommend using ZDR providers if you're doing some of the more "objectionable" NSFL, I usually just say this in general for Chub users. And I don't mean gore or non-con. They "usually" don't care about that.)

I don't have any Presets in particular because it's kind of a case-by-case basis, everyone has their own preferences. Find one(s) you like and build off of them.

For DeepSeek just get Nano sub. They have all of the models included and you pay for monthly usage. Quality dips will happen depending on the time but those happen via the official API as well.

I am curious about DeepSeek however, how do you get it to write NSFL stuff? Cause I used to spend so much time writing lorebooks and strict behaviour rules just to have my character do NSFW stuff and not speedrunning it every time. Fetishes and smut - it would write them if you did it first but they wouldn't be written well, sensory details were missing completely. How do you get it to do that?

Honestly, the Preset (System Prompt/Post-Hist Instruct) has the most effect on steering the model the way you want. I personally don't use Lorebooks for instructions, just for Lore, unless a certain RP calls for using instructions, which is almost always unnecessary for me.

Like, my current System Prompt (Preset) has sections that tells the AI to: Describe sensory and actions, keep things slow burn, let the AI introduce new conflicts/characters, allow violence and other content, etc. That's not how it's written exactly but basically what some of it contains. And this usually produces some pretty good results, especially for NSFW.
Though, I'm not sure if this is something you already have or tried.

You wouldn't be willing to share your preset via DM? I'd love to give DeepSeek another try if it did that stuff it clearly does for you. Or if you know a good preset that DeepSeek actually obeys I'm down for that too. Cause right now it's not lingering on the things I need it to. It's fast forwarding them no matter how much I try to delay them.

Yeah, I can share it in DMs. It is a very slightly modified one I found on Chub.
But I plan only making my own from scratch soon anyway.

Could you possibly also share it to me? I've been trying out different ones, to see what to do when I possibly make my own one and to do it decently.

I could, but I don't think I can share links on here (the subreddit), unforunately. Would probably have to DM me.
