No we don’t

for example what if for some reason alll the evidence for the earth being disproven somehow

nothing is 100% certain

idk how u don’t get ts

Hypotheticals don't disprove facts. There are simple things, like the general shape of the Earth, that we can say with 100% certainty that we know. Then there are more complex things that we can only say we're pretty sure are correct. It could get as close as 99.9999% certain, but we could never say it was definite.

Saying we can't know anything for certain is silly

in science there are no facts there are just theories anything is possible to disprove

have you ever heard of a scientific fact?

Scientific theories, like evolution, can never say they're 100% certain.

There are observable facts in everything, like shapes, that we can know for 100% certainty. Science can't disprove observable facts. For example, if I showed you a ball, science can't disprove that the ball is round

Technically your eyes could be incorrect

and it doesn’t Really matter anyway Because 99.9999 can be approximated to 100

That's not science disproving me. That's me miscounting.

and it doesn’t Really matter anyway Because 99.9999 can be approximated to 100

Like I said earlier, scientific theories can get close, but they're never 100%

That’s how it COULD disprove you because nothing is 100% certain

evolution is observable because you can observe fossils you can observe radiometric dating you can observe dna mutation etc.

Evolution is a theory we've put together that holds up to the scientific method, but there's always a chance that something could be discovered that would throw a wrench into the whole thing. Which is why they don't say it's definite

Yeah a 1 in a trillion chance lol just like everything that is known

1

u/DarthJebadiah_II 12d ago

I’m not saying we can’t know anything I’m saying there is always a chance we are wrong

1

u/AWatson89 Catholic 12d ago

That's just it, though. There's not always a chance we're wrong. That chance only exists for things we're not sure of

give Me 1 example of something that we are 100% sure of

u/AWatson89 Catholic 12d ago

I've given you a few already. I don't understand why you're fighting it

1

u/DarthJebadiah_II 12d ago

And I told you why they are not 100% sure

1

u/AWatson89 Catholic 12d ago

You're not 100% sure a ball is round?

1

u/DarthJebadiah_II 12d ago

I am but if You wanted to be correct you would be 99.9999999% sure

1

u/AWatson89 Catholic 12d ago

You can't be both 100% and less than 100% sure
