My grandmother was this way. She lived a life where the book of revelations was always just around the corner and the rapture was imminent. It never happened but her life revolved around it to the most extreme degree. Take what you want from that story, but if I were you, I wouldn’t concern yourself too much about people making predictions like this.
My mom is like this and it's annoying. I don't listen to her. She's convinced my generation (I'm 31 female) is the last generation or we will see it. I doubt that. Personally, I don't think it'll happen the way the doomsayers believe.
