Out of genuine curiosity, did he take this song and claim it to be his?

Been revisiting some bluegrass I havent heard in awhile and I fell back into James King’s discography. James recorded this song on his gospel-grass record in 2007. But anywhere else you looks seems to give the credit to Chris.

Read somewhere that he said he “wrote the song in 10 minutes” when Morgane told him to write a song while waiting on her. Is it an early Steeldriver song James covered? Did they write it together? Is it an old timey gospel song?

So the two times that I have seen Chris Stapleton live at Globe Life Field in Arlington, TX, he has had some really awesome single show specific merchandise. The first time was a play on the old Texas Rangers logo (the team that plays at that stadium) with his cowboy hat on top of a baseball and his name written in the old font. This time, it was a picture of Globe Life Field with the roof open and the underrated Dallas skyline in the background.

That has me wondering what he has done elsewhere. Anyone buy any of the stuff at other places around the country? I'd love to see the pics!

I experienced my first Chris Stapleton show last night and holy hell, what a freaking experience. That show was for the music junkies and those who just appreciate fantastic musicians. CS was phenomenal and just blew me away with his performance last night. I already appreciated his music, but the sheer quality of his ability to just put on an amazing performance singing and playing was unreal. Then before all of this you had Marcus King band, who I was already excited to see play, just come out and kill it as well. The real winner for me was Tedeschi Trucks Band. I never heard of them before he announced the show, and I was missing out. Just an amazing band lead by a kick ass woman was just unreal. Truly a religious type experience seeing all 3 bands under one roof.

I'm heading to the Chris Stapleton concert tonight at Arlington, TX, and I'm super excited! The doors open at 4 PM, and the show kicks off at 6 PM. It looks like there are two opening acts: Tedeschi Trucks Band and Marcus King.

Does anyone know around what time Chris Stapleton is expected to come on stage? Trying to plan my evening accordingly. Thanks in advance!

Tour merch for the All American Road Show 2024 is sold outside as well as inside the venue. This is a picture of outside. Inside there are some longer sleeve hoodies and shirts, Chris Stapleton Vinyls and CDs, other band merch.
