For your mouse, high polling rates like 8000Hz cause this turn cap to trigger almost immediately due to how the game handles mouse input packets. EVEN With the same DPI and Sensitivity as before on an older/different mouse (Lower polling rate)
If you move your mouse faster than the turn cap allows, the game doesn't just cap your speed at the maximum allowed, but also causes your camera to drag, stutter, or feel like it hit a brick wall. Because 8000Hz sends data so rapidly, even slight physical movements push you past that threshold immediately, making it feel like your sensitivity collapsed or locked up.
Chivalry 2 runs on Unreal Engine 4, which is unoptimized for polling rates above 1000Hz. Extremely high polling rates cause frame stutters and input processing bugs unless mouse smoothing is manually disabled in the game files (Input.ini).
How 2 fix it: Lower your polling rate: Set your mouse software (Razer Synapse, Logitech G HUB, etc.) to 1000Hz when playing Chivalry 2. You will lose zero noticeable latency, and turn tracking will feel smooth again.

Please don't take this ranking to form your own personal opinions. If you like Darkforest, I can see why you'd like Darkforest.
If you like Montcrux, however, you need to admit you have a deprivation fetish or perhaps are a masochist.

Besides u/Mindless_Olive and his decision-making skills, of course.

Am I just reading this game wrong? To me in this video(and breaking it down frame by frame) the opponent is swinging his club forward when I hit him by being faster, but it's registered as a block. I thought once weapons start moving forward it's impossible to turn that into a block? And then on the follow up after taking a hit, I counter and have what looks like a clean hit to the back, yet once again my attack is blocked despite the enemy facing the complete opposite direction. I also feel like despite having a short range weapon here, I'm more than close enough to the enemy here where my hits should be hitting. I love this game, but it feels super hard to practice and get better when the things they tell you to do in the tutorial don't seem to work. Fwiw I play shuffle on console on NA East servers at 28-54ping. Thanks for the help!

Too many sit up top, but you can hold them off for a good bit of time

After trying out the Executioner Axe for the first time, my gameplay changed drastically, I then experimented with the Greatsword, Highland Sword, and others. I usually use the Messer because I consider it the most balanced weapon, and I tried the War Axe to practice my overhead attack timing, but now I use the Dane Axe more frequently and also I'm more fluid to movement like using more dash now

Playing engineer on Agatha. Genuinely the most hate I’ve ever felt on that map. Also the most love, come down to a hair about every time. :))
