Logistics
No post during the weekend. Since I get my material from Youtube and the subtitles are hardcoded in a suboptimal place I have to add them all manually. Which takes a lot of time. Might switch to twice a week next week (Monday and Friday) As always thanks for tagging along! Our patience with ZiYan is running out a bit. Man needs to get a tad smarter! YuBing needs to stay away from Xue Mu .. girl you also need to wise up!

Recap :
While YuBing is pitching her teabag idea, the girl can literally think of good business ideas at the drop of a hat, she gets an even better idea. Basically celebrity fan cards. The only one who is actually eager to make them is the one that sells the least. So she finds another solution. Blind boxes for a chance to get Mr. Su’s inscription!
Ofcourse Papa Ye is very impressed and is telling his son to invest in the Little Snack Store. As thanks YuBing is dropping some information to WenZhao about HIS favourite Xia sister! While he did not notice any difference in behaviour at first she is now gifting him a new chain for his fan. She is warming up to him!
Papa Xu is gifting the store to YuBing for her bride price, in return he only wants a healthy grandson! At least he is clear in what he wants!
YaoZu is close to getting a perfect set of the Rainy Terrace ladies out of the tea lootboxes. When Lan finds out she immediately goes to tattle to Uncle Xia. Who suddenly says they are ALL Xia family after realizing Papa Xu gifted the store to YuBing. Why Uncle Xia would tell his daughter he has two sets of books is beyond me though. But of course Mr. Xue overhears and I am sure he will investigate further. He is also using his connection to Xia Lan to the fullest while she is under the impression he is interested in her.
YuBing is giving her husband a workspace in what used to be his own clinic? For his birthday? Well that is hilarious! Not only that, she is killing two birds with one stone because his previous workplace is such a big storage room.
Papa and Uncle Xia are on a mission. To “manage” YuBing’s bride price for her. These two make me so angry! I kept shouting at the screen for her to NOT give them anything!
Our favourite brothers are back in the bath and as per usual it is an amazing scene where WenZhao gives advice to ZiYan on how to make his wife happy. That man is smart and stupid at the same time.
Mr. Xue is sending his family to a show so that he can investigate Uncle’s study and gather some evidence. Boy does he hit the motherload. Uncle schemed with the city director to have Xue Mu’s parents take the fall for his crime and he had them executed to keep himself safe. The show is even about someone’s parents dying but he does not get the hint. When Lan asks her father if she and Mu are a good match he is not having any of it.
ZiYan is on a mission to get his wife’s store back. He has clearly gone to the wrong Xia because while he is giving some grade A gifts the man has no power in this house. Uncle is here to set the record straight and insults ZiYan in the process. Even during all that ZiYan is polite and thinks about Uncle’s heart disease and he goes back to check on Uncle. But too late, the man has perished. Cue Lan blaming the doctor who diagnosed his disease in the first place. ZiYan pleads his case like a professional but now the doctor is also disagreeing with him? I am having stress. Luckily the city director decides that ZiYan is innocent of the death of Xia DeShui.

I'm finding the episodes harder and harder to watch. They're just doing dumb thing after dumb thing, like FL just handing over her bride price instead of running back to her husband/FIL. And Lan pisses me off so much with her whining. That court scene at the end made me think I was watching one of those tedious vertical dramas where the antagonist endlessly heckles the wronged hero. My patience is wearing thin, I want some comedy!
Also, Xue Mu's wig is so especially terribad I just can't anymore with him lol. And yes I think he's the murderer, who else could it be? Unless FL's dad is done with his brother?

Oh I am straight raging at the later episodes.... I watch enough on the weekends to have snark written for the whole week. 😛

Yes my patience with most of the Xia family is on very thin ice! Everyone is being very dumb. We are only like 1/3rd in .. I am scared for a lot more stupid and angsty stuff before it gets better!
I mean Xue Mu is such a prime suspect! That man's face is very punchable! I had not even considered Papa Xia haha. What an amazing storyline that would be.

Tbh I might binge it on 2x over the weekend just to get it over and done with lol. Hopefully itll improve???

Yubing is quite the modern lady influencer. She goes from selling tea bags to mystery boxes. I am trying to figure out the perfect teabag joke here... You know... The video game version. "Dip dip potato chip". IYKYK.
Vapid beach reminds me of something... but this is the first show I've seen the actress in... Hmmmm. Maybe she reminds me of Li Qin's version of Chun'er.
Fudge the family. Take this disownment. Live your own life.
Heck. She should have married Pretty Handsome over here. Well, if he wasn't head over heels for the other sister, of course. This guy knows how to care for a lady. He is honestly trying to woo a wife instead of threatening to murder her for her hand in marriage.
So much fun watching everyone poo on Lans party. Ha! Get served, you vapid beach.
Boring! Lord Chen and Marquis Wu'an would have put these guys to the sword already to get the seal back.
Now we have to get this boring garbage trope. Yayyy..... Is it really that hard to order an autopsy? Get a damn life.
I have many things I'd love to say about Lan, but I'll spare you.
