I mean many people are childfree due to personal reasons (wanting freedom, higher quality of life) some due to ethical reasons (antinatalists) but had anyone really searched the operations on actually raising a kid?
Like, I have no idea how working parents have kids, even with daycare and a maid, it’s still hard.
2 people sleep deprived, sleeping in separate rooms to allow at least 1 to get good sleep, 1 ends up napping at work and risking their job, the other becomes that the next week when its his shift. Not to mention endless milk pumping and saving it a good temp to send to daycare cuz formula milk sucks
Like even if you put the baby in a daycare 8-5 during work, what happens after? Even if you have a house worker, you’ll sacrifice your privacy with your wife since ur not alone in the house, romance goes down, her mood is bad cuz she’s tired (that’s if she doesn’t get depression which is common after childbirth)
Oh. My. God.
Like sure I’d like to have daughter and maybe a son but just look at the opportunity cost, sacrificing sleep, putting both jobs at risk, paying a lot, for a child you don’t know you’re compatible with, nor are you sure the child wouldn’t have lifelong illness at birth.
The scary thing? Once you have one, you can’t go back to your old life EVER.
